UBUNTU-CVE-2026-74466: Low severity ubuntu/linux-hwe-edge vulnerability
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/zcrypt: Close speculative mem read possibility The domain value is extracted from a given CCA or EP11 ioctl struct when a CPRB is about to be sent. Thus this is a user controlled value. Under some special conditions (custom device node used, administrative load) this value is used as an array index after bounds checking, but without speculation barrier. Add the missing arrayindexnospec() call to prevent speculative execution where this domain value is used.

Add the missing array_index_nospec() call before using the user-controlled domain value as an array index, after bounds checking, to prevent speculative execution.

Frequently Asked Questions
What conditions are required for this issue to be reachable?
The affected path requires special conditions: use of a custom device node and administrative load. The domain value is taken from a user-provided CCA or EP11 ioctl structure when a CPRB is sent.
What does an attacker control in the vulnerable path?
An attacker can control the domain value supplied through the relevant ioctl structure. That value is bounds-checked before being used as an array index, but the missing speculation barrier could permit speculative memory reads.
