ZDI-19-950: Advantech WISE-PaaS/RMM UpgradeMgmt upload_ota Directory Traversal Remote Code Execution Vulnerability

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Advantech WISE-PasS/RMM. Although authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability, the existing authentication mechanism can be bypassed. The specific flaw exists within the UpgradeMgmt class. When parsing the frmUpdateSettingUploadFileFullName parameter, the process does not properly validate a user-supplied path prior to using it in file operations. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of SYSTEM.
