ZDI-21-1535: McAfee Database Security Improper Access Control Denial-of-Service Vulnerability

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to create a denial-of-service condition on affected installations of McAfee Database Security. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the McAfee DBS service. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied path prior to using it in file operations. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to create a denial-of-service condition on the system.
