ZDI-CAN-11049: Trend Micro ServerProtect splx_manual_scan Memory Exhaustion Denial-Of-Service Vulnerability

This vulnerability allows local attackers to create a denial-of-service condition on affected installations of Trend Micro ServerProtect. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the splxmanualscan executable. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a memory exhaustion condition. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to create a denial-of-service condition on the system.
