ZDI-CAN-22481: ZDI-24-570: Trend Micro Apex One Origin Validation Error Local Privilege Escalation Vulnerability
This vulnerability allows local attackers to escalate privileges on affected installations of Trend Micro Apex One Security Agent. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the Apex One NT RealTime Scan service. The issue results from insufficient validation of the origin of commands. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to escalate privileges and execute arbitrary code in the context of SYSTEM.
