ZDI-CAN-9997: Advantech WebAccess/SCADA DATACORE IOCTL 0x0000791e Integer Overflow Remote Code Execution Vulnerability

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Advantech WebAccess/SCADA. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the implementation of IOCTL 0x0000791e in DATACORE.exe. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in an integer overflow before allocating a buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of Administrator.
