cisco-sa-asafdt-webvpn-dos-tzPSYern: Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software and Firepower Threat Defense Software Web Services Interface Denial of Service Vulnerability

First published: Wed Apr 27 2022(Updated: )

A vulnerability in the web services interface for remote access VPN features of Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition. This vulnerability is due to improper input validation when parsing HTTPS requests. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted HTTPS request to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the device to reload, resulting in a DoS condition. Cisco has released software updates that address this vulnerability. There are no workarounds that address this vulnerability.
