A vulnerability in Cisco Security Manager could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to gain access to and modify sensitive information on the affected device. The vulnerability is due to improper validation of directory traversal character sequences within requests to an affected device. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted request to the affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to read or write arbitrary files on the affected device. Cisco has released software updates that address this vulnerability. There are no workarounds that address this vulnerability.
