cisco-sa-ucce-pcce-ssrf-TghHxD: Cisco Packaged Contact Center Enterprise and Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise Server-Side Request Forgery Vulnerability
A vulnerability in Cisco Packaged Contact Center Enterprise (Packaged CCE) and Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise (Unified CCE) could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to conduct server-side request forgery (SSRF) attacks through an affected device. This vulnerability is due to improper input validation for specific HTTP requests. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted HTTP request to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to send arbitrary network requests that are sourced from the affected device. To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must have valid user credentials on the affected device. Cisco has released software updates that address this vulnerability. There are no workarounds that address this vulnerability. This advisory is available at the following link:https://sec.cloudapps.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-ucce-pcce-ssrf-TghHxD

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can exploit this issue?
Exploitation requires an authenticated remote attacker with valid user credentials on an affected Packaged CCE or Unified CCE device. An unauthenticated attacker is not described as able to exploit it.
What can a successful attacker do?
A successful exploit allows the attacker to cause the affected device to send arbitrary network requests. Those requests originate from the affected device, which may provide access to network destinations reachable from it.
Is there a mitigation if software updates cannot be installed immediately?
No workaround is available for this vulnerability. Cisco has released software updates that address it.
