The report concerns Citrix NetScaler ADC instances where AppFW policies and profiles are absent after a firmware update, while signature files remain present. The issue was observed when attempting to create new profiles using those existing signatures.
Verify that AppFW policies and profiles were retained on the upgraded firmware, not just the signature files. Creating a profile with an existing signature may expose the issue through a “fastmatch not found” error referencing signature ID 400008.
The reported signature line is absent from the new default signature set, while older signature files reportedly still contain it. The reporter states that multiple signature files at version 181 exhibited the same problem.
