SQL Injection
AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N

ClipBucket v5 before 5.5.3-#182 contains a blind SQL injection vulnerability that allows authenticated users to extract arbitrary data from the database by submitting the checkphoto parameter as an array to bypass the cleanrequests() sanitization function in ClipBucket.class.php. Attackers can pass unsanitized array elements through the bulk deletion handler in managephotos.php to photoexists() in photos.class.php, where non-numeric values are interpolated directly into a SQL query, enabling time-based blind SQL injection to retrieve credential hashes and other sensitive data.

Malicious File Upload
AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H

ClipBucket v5 before 5.5.3-#182 contains a file upload vulnerability that allows authenticated users to achieve remote code execution by uploading a PHP file with valid image magic bytes through the photo upload endpoint. The FileUpload::manageFile() function in fileupload.class.php fails to update the file extension after MIME validation, allowing an attacker-controlled .php extension to persist on disk and execute as PHP via PHP-FPM when the uploaded file is retrieved.

ClipBucket v5 before 5.5.3-#182 contains a blind SQL injection vulnerability that allows authenticated users to extract arbitrary database contents by submitting the msgid parameter as an array to bypass the cleanrequests() sanitization function in ClipBucket.class.php. Attackers can pass unsanitized array elements through the deletion handler in privatemessage.php into cbpm::deletemsg(), which interpolates the unescaped message ID directly into a SQL query string, enabling time-based blind SQL injection to retrieve all user credential hashes and email addresses.

ClipBucket 5.5.2 is affected by an improper access control issue where the product is shipped or deployed with hardcoded default administrative credentials. An unauthenticated remote attacker can log in to the administrative panel using these default credentials, resulting in full administrative control of the application.

ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to version 5.5.3 - #133, a normal authenticated user can edit another user's video subtitles because of a lack of authorization. They can upload subtitles, edit their name or delete them. This issue has been patched in version 5.5.3 - #133.

ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to version 5.5.3 - #129, the actions/progressvideo.php endpoint is vulnerable to blind SQL injection. Any unauthenticated user can exploit the ids parameter to execute SQL queries and exfiltrate sensitive data. This issue has been patched in version 5.5.3 - #129.

OS Command Injection
AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H

ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to version 5.5.3 - #140, ClipBucket's Remote Play feature allows any authenticated user to add a video by importing an external URL as the source. Some shell commands are run with the URL as a parameter. The URL is concatenated directly into shell commands without escaping then executed, so any shell metacharacter in the URL is interpreted. This results in arbitrary command execution. This issue has been patched in version 5.5.3 - #140.

ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to 5.5.3 - #122, there is a critical SQL Injection (SQLi) vulnerability in ClipBucket, exploitable through the type parameter on the authenticated admin endpoint adminarea/actionlogs.php. The endpoint adminarea/actionlogs.php reads $GET['type'], stores it in $resultarray['type'], and forwards it into fetchactionlogs(), where the value is concatenated directly into a SQL WHERE condition on actiontype without parameterization. This allows UNION-based SQL injection and direct data exfiltration from the database. This vulnerability is fixed in 5.5.3 - #122.

ClipBucket version 2.6 and earlier contains a critical vulnerability in the ofcuploadimage.php script located at /adminarea/charts/ofc-library/. Once uploaded, the attacker can access the file via a predictable path and trigger remote code execution.

ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. An authenticated time-based blind SQL injection vulnerability exists in ClipBucket prior to 5.5.3 #80 within the actions/ajax.php endpoint. Due to insufficient input sanitization of the userid parameter, an authenticated attacker can execute arbitrary SQL queries, leading to full database disclosure and potential administrative account takeover. Version 5.5.3 #80 fixes the issue.

ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to version 5.5.3 #59, collection item operations are vulnerable to authorization flaws, allowing a normal authenticated user to modify another user’s collection items. This affects both add item (/actions/addtocollection.php) due to missing authorization checks and delete item (/managecollections.php?mode=manageitems...) due to a broken ownership check in removeItemFromCollection(). As a result, attackers can insert and remove items from collections they do not own. Version 5.5.3 #59 fixes the issue.

ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to 5.5.3 - #40, a Time-of-Check to Time-of-Use (TOCTOU) race condition vulnerability exists in ClipBucket's avatar and background image upload functionality. The application moves uploaded files to a web-accessible location before validating them, creating a window where an attacker can execute arbitrary PHP code before the file is deleted. The uploaded file was moved to a web-accessible path via moveuploadedfile(), then validated via ValidateImage(). If validation failed, the file was deleted via @unlink(). This vulnerability is fixed in 5.5.3 - #40.

ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to 5.5.3 - #45, in Clip Bucket V5, The Remote Play allows creating video entries that reference external video URLs without uploading the video files to the server. However, by specifying an internal network host in the video URL, an SSRF can be triggered, causing GET requests to be sent to internal servers. An attacker can exploit this to scan the internal network. Even a regular (non-privileged) user can carry out the attack.

SQL Injection

ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Versions 5.5.2-#187 and below allow an attacker to perform Blind SQL Injection through the add comment section within a channel. When adding a comment within a channel, there is a POST request to the /actions/ajax.php endpoint. The objid parameter within the POST request to /actions/ajax.php is then used within the userexists function of the upload/includes/classes/user.class. php file as the $id parameter. It is then used within the count function of the upload/includes/classes/db.class. php file. The $id parameter is concatenated into the query without validation or sanitization, and a user-supplied input like 1' or 1=1-- - can be used to trigger the injection. This issue does not have a fix at the time of publication.

ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. In versions 5.5.2-#146 and below, the Manage Photos feature is vulnerable to stored Cross-site Scripting (XSS). An authenticated regular user can upload a photo with a malicious Photo Title containing HTML/JavaScript code. This issue is fixed in version 5.5.2-#147.
