Buffer Overflow
CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H

Espruino 2v29 (commit bffc6d0) contains a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the JavaScript error stack-trace handling path on 64-bit builds. A remote attacker can supply JavaScript input that triggers an exception and reaches jslPrintTokenLineMarker(), which passes the address of a 4-byte int column variable to jsvGetLineAndCol() as a sizet pointer. jsvGetLineAndCol() performs an 8-byte write through the mismatched pointer, overwriting adjacent stack memory.

Null Pointer Dereference

Espruino 2v29 (commit bffc6d0) contains a NULL pointer dereference vulnerability in jslGetRawString() in src/jslex.c. Crafted raw/binary string input can cause the lexer to pass a NULL iterator target to jsvLockAgain(). In RELEASE/NOASSERT builds, the missing assertion guard allows a write through the NULL pointer, resulting in memory corruption and application termination or denial of service.

An out-of-bounds write vulnerability in jslGetTokenValueAsString() in Espruino 2v29 (commit bffc6d0) allows crafted JavaScript input containing an overlong token to trigger a one-byte write beyond the JsLex.token buffer in RELEASE/NOASSERT builds. The out-of-bounds write corrupts the adjacent tokenValue pointer, resulting in memory corruption and potentially causing application crashes or denial of service.

Espruino before 1.99 allows attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) and a potential Escalation of Privileges with a user crafted input file via a Buffer Overflow during syntax parsing, because strncat is misused.

Null Pointer Dereference
CVSS:3.0/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H

Espruino before 1.98 allows attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) with a user crafted input file via a NULL pointer dereference during syntax parsing. This was addressed by adding validation for a debug trace print statement in jsvar.c.

Espruino before 1.99 allows attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) with a user crafted input file via a Buffer Overflow during syntax parsing because of a missing check for stack exhaustion with many '{' characters in jsparse.c.
