Grav API plugin before 1.0.16 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability in webhook delivery that allows attackers to bypass hostname validation by DNS rebinding. Attackers controlling authoritative DNS for a configured webhook hostname can answer validation lookups with public addresses and delivery lookups with private addresses to reach internal network resources.

Grav API plugin versions before 1.0.13 fail to enforce API key scope caps in ConfigController super-scope gates, allowing scoped keys to write scheduler configuration. The scope cap is applied only inside requirePermission(), while the scheduler and backups gates use a bare isSuperAdmin() check that never consults apikeyscopes. An attacker holding an API key scoped to api.config.write that was minted on a super account can therefore inject arbitrary commands into scheduler.customjobs, which Job::run() passes to a Symfony Process, achieving operating system command execution as the web server user.

Grav API Plugin is a RESTful API for Grav CMS that provides full headless access to your site's content. Prior to 1.0.6, Grav API plugin UsersController::createApiKey(), generate2fa(), and disable2fa() omit the accessGrantsSuper() target check used by sibling user mutation endpoints. A non-super account with api.users.write can mint an API key bound to an access.api.super target through requireApiKeyPermission(), obtain the target's full privileges because key scopes are not enforced, and create persistent super-administrator access; the same missing check also permits rotating or disabling the target's two-factor authentication. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.6.

Grav API Plugin is a RESTful API for Grav CMS that provides full headless access to your site's content. Prior to 1.0.2, the Grav API plugin POST /api/v1/media pipeline in HandlesMediaUploads::processUploadedFile() validates an SVG filename extension but does not invoke Security::sanitizeSVG(). An attacker with api.media.write permission can store an SVG containing JavaScript, and the server returns the file as Content-Type: image/svg+xml so the script executes when a victim opens it, allowing session data theft and authenticated actions. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.2.

Grav API Plugin is a RESTful API for Grav CMS that provides full headless access to your site's content. Prior to 1.0.6, the Grav API plugin WebhookController.php accepts webhook URLs after only FILTERVALIDATEURL syntax validation, and WebhookDispatcher.php initializes cURL without CURLOPTPROTOCOLS or CURLOPTREDIRPROTOCOLS restrictions. An account with api.webhooks.write can submit file, dict, gopher, private-network, or link-local targets, retrieve local files and delivery response bodies, and pivot requests to internal services or cloud metadata endpoints. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.6.

The Grav API plugin (getgrav/grav-plugin-api, bundled with Grav 2.0) before version 1.0.14 (fixed in 1.0.15) contains a missing authorization vulnerability in BlueprintPathResolver::resolveUserScope(). The method gates the users/<name> scope on the account's raw super-admin ACL flag (access.api.super) instead of validating the presented API key's actual scope. An attacker holding an API key scoped only to api.media.write minted on a super-admin account can bypass the authorization check and, via POST /blueprint-upload or GET /blueprint-files, write a file into another user's scope (in the shared user/accounts/ directory, constrained to image extensions by assertSafeExtension()) and browse that scope's file listing, despite the key not being granted api.users.write.

Grav API Plugin versions before 1.0.10 fail to validate the groups field in InvitationsController::create(), allowing authenticated api.users.write callers to assign invited accounts to groups that grant api.super permissions. Attackers can create invitation records with elevated group membership, and when accepted, the new account gains full super-admin API access without the inviter holding those permissions.

Grav API Plugin versions before 1.0.10 fail to restrict write access to security-critical plugin configuration scopes, allowing authenticated users with api.config.write privilege to modify rate limiting and CORS settings. Attackers can disable rate limiting site-wide to enable credential brute-forcing attacks and reconfigure CORS policies to include attacker-controlled origins with credentials enabled.

Grav API plugin before v1.0.0-rc.16 accepts JWT tokens via the ?token= URL query parameter and responds with Access-Control-Allow-Origin: , allowing unauthenticated attackers to make fully authenticated cross-origin API requests from any malicious website. Attackers who obtain a leaked JWT token from access logs, proxy logs, browser history, or Referrer headers can create persistent backdoor super-admin accounts and exfiltrate sensitive configuration and user data.
