NTMail 5.x allows network users to bypass the NTMail proxy restrictions by redirecting their requests to NTMail's web configuration server.

  1. Configuration

    If the NTMail web configuration server is not required, disable the web configuration server to prevent users from redirecting requests and bypassing NTMail proxy restrictions.

  2. Compensating control

    Restrict network access to the NTMail web configuration server using firewall rules, ACLs, or network segmentation so that only trusted management hosts/networks can reach it, preventing users from redirecting requests to bypass proxy restrictions.
