registration.PHP in ATutor 1.5.1 pl2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via an e-mail address that ends in a NULL character, which bypasses the PHP regular expression check. NOTE: it is possible that this is actually a bug in PHP code, in which case this should not be treated as a vulnerability in ATutor.

Impact Arbitrary local file inclusion via the $lang property, remotely exploitable if host application passes unfiltered user data into that property. The 3 CVEs listed are applications that used PHPMailer that were vulnerable to this problem.

Patches It's not known exactly when this was fixed in the host applications, but it was fixed in PHPMailer 5.2.0.

Workarounds Filter and validate user-supplied data before use.

DISPUTED SQL injection vulnerability in index.php in ATutor 1.5.3 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the fid parameter. NOTE: this issue has been disputed by the vendor, who states "The mentioned SQL injection vulnerability is not possible." However, the relevant source code suggests that this issue may be legitimate, and the parameter is cleansed in 1.5.3.1.
