A flaw in libxml2 allows remote XML entity inclusion with default parser flags (i.e., when the caller did not request entity substitution, DTD validation, external DTD subset loading, or default DTD attributes). Depending on the context, this may expose a higher-risk attack surface in libxml2 not usually reachable with default parser flags, and expose content from local files, HTTP, or FTP servers (which might be otherwise unreachable).
DISPUTED The AES-GCM specification in RFC 5084, as used in Android 5.x and 6.x, recommends 12 octets for the aes-ICVlen parameter field, which might make it easier for attackers to defeat a cryptographic protection mechanism and discover an authentication key via a crafted application, aka internal bug 26234568. NOTE: The vendor disputes the existence of this potential issue in Android, stating "This CVE was raised in error: it referred to the authentication tag size in GCM, whose default according to ASN.1 encoding (12 bytes) can lead to vulnerabilities. After careful consideration, it was decided that the insecure default value of 12 bytes was a default only for the encoding and not default anywhere else in Android, and hence no vulnerability existed."

It was found that the Linux kernel's IPv6 implementation mishandles socket option data. A local attacker can abuse concurrent access to the socket options to escalate their privileges, or cause a denial of service (use-after-free and system crash) via a crafted sendmsg system call.

arch/x86/kernel/entry64.S in the Linux kernel before 3.17.5 does not properly handle faults associated with the Stack Segment (SS) segment register, which allows local users to gain privileges by triggering an IRET instruction that leads to access to a GS Base address from the wrong space.

In getIntentForIntentSender of ActivityManagerService.java, there is a possible way to access user metadata due to a pending intent. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
In endCallForSubscriber of PhoneInterfaceManager.java, there is a possible way to prevent access to emergency services due to a logic error in the code. This could lead to a local denial of service with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
