An earlier fix for an Inter-process Communication (IPC) vulnerability, CVE-2011-3079, added authentication to communication between IPC endpoints and server parents during IPC process creation. This authentication is insufficient for channels created after the IPC process is started, leading to the authentication not being correctly applied to later channels. This could allow for a sandbox escape through IPC channels due to lack of message validation in the listener process.
A flaw was found in modperl 2.0 through 2.0.10 which allows attackers to execute arbitrary Perl code by placing it in a user-owned .htaccess file, because (contrary to the documentation) there is no configuration option that permits Perl code for the administrator's control of HTTP request processing without also permitting unprivileged users to run Perl code in the context of the user account that runs Apache HTTP Server processes.

Canonical snapd before version 2.37.1 incorrectly performed socket owner validation, allowing an attacker to run arbitrary commands as root. This issue affects: Canonical snapd versions prior to 2.37.1.

A use-after-free vulnerability can occur while parsing an HTML5 stream in concert with custom HTML elements. This results in the stream parser object being freed while still in use, leading to a potentially exploitable crash.
A crash and out-of-bounds read can occur when the buffer of a texture client is freed while it is still in use during graphic operations. This results in a potentially exploitable crash and the possibility of reading from the memory of the freed buffers.

A buffer overflow occurs when drawing and validating elements with the ANGLE graphics library, used for WebGL content, when working with the VertexBuffer11 module. This results in a potentially exploitable crash.
A potential integer overflow issue was found in the networking back-end of QEMU. It could occur while receiving packets, because it accepted packets with large size value. Such overflow could lead to OOB buffer access issue. A user inside guest could use this flaw to crash the QEMU process resulting in DoS.

An instance of OpenSSL::X509::Name contains entities such as CN, C and so on. Some two instances of OpenSSL::X509::Name are equal only when all entities are exactly equal. However, there is a bug that the equality check is not correct if the value of an entity of the argument (right-hand side) starts with the value of the receiver (left-hand side). So, if a malicious X.509 certificate is passed to compare with an existing certificate, there is a possibility to be judged incorrectly that they are equal.

FreeRDP prior to version 2.0.0-rc4 contains an Integer Truncation that leads to a Heap-Based Buffer Overflow in function updatereadbitmapupdate() and results in a memory corruption and probably even a remote code execution.
FreeRDP prior to version 2.0.0-rc4 contains a Heap-Based Buffer Overflow in function zgfxdecompress() that results in a memory corruption and probably even a remote code execution.
FreeRDP prior to version 2.0.0-rc4 contains a Heap-Based Buffer Overflow in function zgfxdecompresssegment() that results in a memory corruption and probably even a remote code execution.
Irssi 1.1.x before 1.1.2 has a use after free when hidden lines are expired from the scroll buffer.
filecopyfallback in gio/gfile.c in GNOME GLib 2.15.0 through 2.61.1 creates new files with default permissions and set the correct permissions after the operation is finished. This might cause that the files can be accessible by more users during the operation than expected.
