FastGPT is an AI Agent building platform. Prior to version 4.14.9.5, the FastGPT HTTP tools testing endpoint (/api/core/app/httpTools/runTool) is exposed without any authentication. This endpoint acts as a full HTTP proxy — it accepts a user-supplied baseUrl, toolPath, HTTP method, custom headers, and body, then makes a server-side HTTP request and returns the complete response to the caller. This issue has been patched in version 4.14.9.5.

FastGPT is an open-source project that provides a platform for building, deploying, and operating AI-driven workflows and conversational agents. The Sandbox container (fastgpt-sandbox) is a specialized, isolated environment used by FastGPT to safely execute user-submitted or dynamically generated code in isolation. The sandbox before version 4.9.11 has insufficient isolation and inadequate restrictions on code execution by allowing overly permissive syscalls, which allows attackers to escape the intended sandbox boundaries. Attackers could exploit this to read and overwrite arbitrary files and bypass Python module import restrictions. This is patched in version 4.9.11 by restricting the allowed system calls to a safer subset and additional descriptive error messaging.

FastGPT is an AI Agent building platform. In versions prior to 4.14.9.5, the password-based login endpoint uses TypeScript type assertion without runtime validation, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to pass a MongoDB query operator object (e.g., {"$ne": ""}) as the password field. This NoSQL injection bypasses the password check, enabling login as any user including the root administrator. This issue has been fixed in version 4.14.9.5.

FastGPT is an AI Agent building platform. In versions 4.14.8.3 and below, the fastgpt-preview-image.yml workflow is vulnerable to arbitrary code execution and secret exfiltration by any external contributor. It uses pullrequesttarget (which runs with access to repository secrets) but checks out code from the pull request author's fork, then builds and pushes Docker images using attacker-controlled Dockerfiles. This also enables a supply chain attack via the production container registry. A patch was not available at the time of publication.

FastGPT is an AI Agent building platform. In versions prior to 4.14.9.5, the password change endpoint is vulnerable to NoSQL injection. An authenticated attacker can bypass the "old password" verification by injecting MongoDB query operators. This allows an attacker who has gained a low-privileged session to change the password of their account (or others if combined with ID manipulation) without knowing the current one, leading to full account takeover and persistence. This issue has been fixed in version 4.14.9.5.

In 4.15.0-beta4, FastGPT plugin invoke reverse-call endpoints under /api/invoke/ authenticate only by verifying a JWT signed with INVOKETOKENSECRET, which defaults to the constant string token and was not set in official deployment templates. An unauthenticated attacker can self-sign an HS256 JWT and reach /api/invoke/userInfo to disclose cross-tenant user PII by attacker-supplied tmbId values, or /api/invoke/fileUpload to write attacker-controlled content into chat files. This issue is fixed in version 4.15.0-beta5.

FastGPT is an AI Agent building platform. Prior to version 4.14.9.5, FastGPT's MCP (Model Context Protocol) tools endpoints (/api/core/app/mcpTools/getTools and /api/core/app/mcpTools/runTool) accept a user-supplied URL parameter and make server-side HTTP requests to it without validating whether the URL points to an internal/private network address. Although the application has a dedicated isInternalAddress() function for SSRF protection (used in other endpoints like the HTTP workflow node), the MCP tools endpoints do not call this function. An authenticated attacker can use these endpoints to scan internal networks, access cloud metadata services, and interact with internal services such as MongoDB and Redis. This issue has been patched in version 4.14.9.5.

FastGPT is an AI Agent building platform. In versions 4.14.11 and prior, FastGPT's isInternalAddress() function in packages/service/common/system/utils.ts blocks cloud metadata endpoints using a fullUrl.startsWith() check against a hardcoded list. This check can be bypassed using at least 7 different URL encoding techniques, all of which resolve to the same cloud metadata service but do not match the blocklist patterns. Additionally, the broader private IP check (isInternalIPv4/isInternalIPv6) is disabled by default because CHECKINTERNALIP defaults to false (not 'true'), so these bypasses reach the metadata endpoint without any further validation. At time of publication, there are no publicly available patches.

Prior to 4.15.0-beta1, a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability allows an authenticated attacker to bypass the global isInternalAddress network protection and make arbitrary HTTP GET requests to internal network services. FastGPT is an AI Agent building platform. From 4.14.0 to 4.14.5, attackers can directly access the plugin system through FastGPT/api/plugin/xxx without authentication, thereby threatening the plugin system. This may cause the plugin system to crash and the loss of plugin installation status, but it will not result in key leakage. For older versions, as there are only operation interfaces for obtaining information, the impact is almost negligible. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.14.5-fix.

FastGPT is an AI Agent building platform. In 4.14.7 and earlier, FastGPT's Python Sandbox (fastgpt-sandbox) includes guardrails intended to prevent file writes (static detection + seccomp). These guardrails are bypassable by remapping stdout (fd 1) to an arbitrary writable file descriptor using fcntl. After remapping, writing via sys.stdout.write() still satisfies the seccomp rule write(fd==1), enabling arbitrary file creation/overwrite inside the sandbox container despite the intended no file writes restriction.

FastGPT is an AI Agent building platform. In versions 4.14.13 and prior, the code-sandbox component suffers from insufficient resource isolation and uncontrolled resource consumption. The service relies solely on an application-level soft limit (a 500ms polling interval) for memory management and lacks strict OS-level constraints such as cgroups or kernel-level namespaces. This architectural weakness allows attackers to easily bypass memory checks via time-window attacks, or exhaust the entire JavaScript worker pool via concurrent CPU-intensive requests, resulting in a complete Denial of Service (DoS) for legitimate users. FastGPT is an AI Agent building platform. Prior to version 4.14.17, FastGPT had an inconsistent SSRF protection gap in MCP tool URL handling. The direct MCP preview/run endpoints already rejected internal/private network URLs, but the MCP tool create/update endpoints could still save an internal MCP server URL. That stored URL could later be used by workflow execution without revalidating the destination. An authenticated user with permission to create or manage MCP toolsets could store an internal endpoint such as http://localhost:3000/mcp and later cause the FastGPT backend workflow runner to connect to that internal destination. This issue has been patched in version 4.14.17.

FastGPT is an AI Agent building platform. Prior to 4.15.0-beta1, the JavaScript sandbox worker at projects/code-sandbox/src/pool/worker.ts:356 blocks dynamic import() with the regex /\bimport\s\(/.test(code). JavaScript syntax accepts a block comment between import and (; the regex matches only ASCII whitespace, and the bytes /, , , / are not in the \s character class. The payload import//("childprocess") parses as a syntactically valid dynamic import that the regex does not detect. Because import() is not wrapped by the safeRequire Proxy (which only proxies require), the attacker loads childprocess and calls execSync - arbitrary command execution as uid=100(sandbox) inside the sandbox container. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.15.0-beta1.

FastGPT is an open-source LLM platform for building AI applications on a knowledge base. Prior to 4.15.2, the safe Axios request interceptor in packages/service/common/api/axios.ts validates a hostname with isInternalAddress() before a later HTTP connection performs an independent DNS lookup, creating a DNS rebinding window, allowing an attacker-controlled hostname to resolve publicly during the check and to a loopback, private, link-local, or metadata address during connection. An authenticated attacker who can supply a URL to a safe-Axios-backed HTTP tool, workflow HTTP node, external file fetch, or other server-side integration can use this time-of-check/time-of-use gap to reach services that direct private-address inputs would block. The same independent re-resolution occurs after manual redirect hops because each redirect target is checked before a separate connection lookup. This issue is fixed in version 4.15.2.
