Frappe is a full-stack web application framework. Prior to 15.86.0 and 14.99.2, a certain endpoint was vulnerable to error-based SQL injection due to lack of validation of parameters. Some information like version could be retrieved. This vulnerability is fixed in 15.86.0 and 14.99.2.
An arbitrary file upload vulnerability in the Attachments module of Frappe Framework v15.89.0 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code via uploading a crafted XML file.
A Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability exists in the Print Format functionality of ERPNext v16.0.1 and Frappe Framework v16.1.1, where user-supplied HTML is insufficiently sanitized before being rendered into PDF. When generating PDFs from user-controlled HTML content, the application allows the inclusion of HTML elements such as <iframe> that reference external resources. The PDF rendering engine automatically fetches these resources on the server side. An attacker can abuse this behavior to force the server to make arbitrary HTTP requests to internal services, including cloud metadata endpoints, potentially leading to sensitive information disclosure.
In ERPNext v15.83.2 and Frappe Framework v15.86.0, improper validation of uploaded SVG avatar images allows attackers to embed malicious JavaScript. The payload executes when an administrator clicks the image link to view the avatar, resulting in stored cross-site scripting (XSS). Successful exploitation may lead to account takeover, privilege escalation, or full compromise of the affected ERPNext instance.
Frappe Framework before 15.111.0 and 16.x before 16.21.0 contains a server-side template injection vulnerability because user-controlled message fields are rendered as templates without neutralization. An authenticated attacker holding a common operational role can inject template expressions that the server evaluates in an unrestricted context.
Frappe is a full-stack web application framework. Prior to 15.86.0 and 14.99.2, certain requests were vulnerable to path traversal attacks, wherein some files from the server could be retrieved if the full path was known. Sites hosted on Frappe Cloud, and even other setups that are behind a reverse proxy like NGINX are unaffected. This would mainly affect someone directly using werkzeug/gunicorn. In those cases, either an upgrade or changing the setup to use a reverse proxy is recommended. This vulnerability is fixed in 15.86.0 and 14.99.2.
Frappe is a full-stack web application framework. Versions 14.96.9 and below, and 15.0.0 through 15.71.0 have an insecure endpoint parameter that is vulnerable to error-based SQL Injection through lack of validation. Sensitive information such as versioning can be retrieved. This issue is fixed in versions 14.96.10 and 15.72.0.
Frappe is a full-stack web application framework. Prior to 15.110.0 and 16.20.0, the restore and bulkrestore endpoints do not apply the appropriate document permission checks, allowing an authenticated user to restore deleted documents without the required authorization. This issue is fixed in versions 15.110.0 and 16.20.0.
Frappe Framework before 15.117.0 and 16.x before 16.30.0 contains an arbitrary file read vulnerability in the handling of attributes in outgoing email HTML. Attackers who can supply outgoing email content can set an attribute value referencing a local file path to expose sensitive server files.
Frappe Framework before 16.33.0 contains a blind SQL injection vulnerability in the frappe.desk.doctype.event.event.getevents method, which fails to properly neutralize user-supplied input before including it in SQL queries. Authenticated attackers can send crafted input to getevents and infer query results from application behavior to extract sensitive database information.
Frappe is a full-stack web application framework. Prior to 16.16.0 and 15.106.0, user enumeration could be performed via the resetpassword endpoint. This issue is fixed in versions 16.16.0 and 15.106.0.
Frappe Framework before 15.118.0 and 16.x before 16.31.0 does not check whether a user account is disabled before sending Document Follow email notifications. A disabled user who previously followed documents continues to receive email updates about activity on those documents after their access should have been revoked.
Frappe Framework v15.72.4 was discovered to contain a SQL injection vulnerability via the fieldname parameter in the frappe.client.getvalue API endpoint and a crafted script to the fieldname parameter
Frappe is a full-stack web application framework. Prior to version 16.17.4, any authenticated user can access private files by guessing the file path. This issue has been patched in version 16.17.4.
Frappe is a full-stack web application framework. Prior to 16.20.0 and 15.112.0, a field-level permissions bypass exposes restricted DocType fields. This issue is fixed in versions 16.23.0 and 15.112.0.
Frappe is a full-stack web application framework. Prior to 16.20.0 and 15.112.0, unrestricted access to a Document Follow API (updatefollow) is possible for an authenticated user. This issue is fixed in versions 16.20.0 and 15.112.0.
Frappe Framework before 15.120.0 and 16.x before 16.33.0 contains a missing authorization vulnerability in the whitelisted sendsms API endpoint, which does not verify that the caller is permitted to send SMS messages. Users lacking the required permissions can invoke sendsms to send arbitrary SMS messages that impersonate the Company.
Frappe Framework before 15.120.0 and 16.x before 16.33.0 does not enforce the per-user restrictip allowlist for non-session authentication methods, including API key, OAuth, and header-based authentication. Attackers holding valid credentials of these types can authenticate from IP addresses outside the allowlist, defeating the configured network-based access restrictions.
A Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in Frappe Framework version 17.0.0-dev due to improper neutralization of user-controlled input in the dashboard-view component.
A Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in Frappe Framework version 17.0.0-dev due to improper neutralization of user-controlled input in the Notifications > Events panel.

Frappe Framework 15.x before 15.107.3 and 16.x before 16.17.0 relies on a vulnerable pdfkit library (CVE-2025-26240) for PDF generation, enabling server-side request forgery and local file inclusion. Authenticated attackers can supply crafted content to PDF rendering to make the server fetch internal resources or embed local server files in generated PDFs.
An authenticated attacker can store a crafted tag value in usertags and trigger JavaScript execution when a victim opens the list/report view where tags are rendered. The vulnerable renderer interpolates tag content into HTML attributes and element content without escaping. This issue affects Frappe: 16.10.10.
An authenticated attacker can persist crafted values in multiple field types and trigger client-side script execution when another user opens the affected document in Desk. The vulnerable formatter implementations interpolate stored values into raw HTML attributes and element content without escaping
This issue affects Frappe: 16.10.0.
