A potential security vulnerability has been identified in Hewlett Packard Enterprise Universal API Framework. The vulnerability could be remotely exploited to allow SQL injection in HPE Universal API Framework for VMware Esxi v2.5.2 and HPE Universal API Framework for Microsoft Hyper-V (VHD).
This vulnerability allows network-adjacent attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Universal API Framework. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the connections resource. A crafted uaf-token header can trigger execution of SQL queries composed from a user-supplied string. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to disclose stored credentials, leading to further compromise.
