A flaw was found in X.Org Server. An heap-buffer overflow was found in XkbSetDeviceInfo may lead to a privilege escalation vulnerability.
IBM Cloud Pak for Security (CP4S) 1.7.0.0, 1.7.1.0, 1.7.2.0, and 1.8.0.0 could allow an attacker to perform unauthorized actions due to improper or missing authentication controls. IBM X-Force ID: 199282.

An issue was discovered in disableprivmode in shell.c in GNU Bash through 5.0 patch 11. By default, if Bash is run with its effective UID not equal to its real UID, it will drop privileges by setting its effective UID to its real UID. However, it does so incorrectly. On Linux and other systems that support "saved UID" functionality, the saved UID is not dropped. An attacker with command execution in the shell can use "enable -f" for runtime loading of a new builtin, which can be a shared object that calls setuid() and therefore regains privileges. However, binaries running with an effective UID of 0 are unaffected.
A flaw was found in the X.Org Server before version 1.20.10. An out-of-bounds access in the XkbSetMap function may lead to a privilege escalation vulnerability. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.
A code execution vulnerability exists in the WebSocket functionality of Webkit WebKitGTK 2.30.0. A specially crafted web page can trigger a use-after-free vulnerability which can lead to remote code execution. An attacker can get a user to visit a webpage to trigger this vulnerability.

A memory corruption issue was addressed with improved state management.
A flaw was found in xorg-x11-server before 1.20.9. An integer underflow in the X input extension protocol decoding in the X server may lead to arbitrary access of memory contents. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.
An integer overflow vulnerability leading to a double-free was found in libX11. This flaw allows a local privileged attacker to cause an application compiled with libX11 to crash, or in some cases, result in arbitrary code execution. The highest threat from this flaw is to confidentiality, integrity as well as system availability.
A flaw was found in X.Org Server before xorg-x11-server 1.20.9. An Integer underflow leading to heap-buffer overflow may lead to a privilege escalation vulnerability. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.

An issue was discovered in TrouSerS through 0.3.14. If the tcsd daemon is started with root privileges instead of by the tss user, it fails to drop the root gid privilege when no longer needed.
An issue was discovered in TrouSerS through 0.3.14. If the tcsd daemon is started with root privileges, the tss user still has read and write access to the /etc/tcsd.conf file (which contains various settings related to this daemon).
A regular expression denial of service vulnerability was found in hosted-git-info. If an application allows user input into the affected regular expression (regexp) function, shortcutMatch or fromUrl, then an attacker could craft a regexp which takes an ever increasing amount of time to process, potentially resulting in a denial of service.
A flaw was found in libcurl from versions 7.29.0 through 7.71.1. An application that performs multiple requests with libcurl's multi API, and sets the CURLOPTCONNECTONLY option, might experience libcurl using the wrong connection. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality.
A NULL pointer dereference was found in OpenLDAP server and was fixed in openldap 2.4.55, during a request for renaming RDNs. An unauthenticated attacker could remotely crash the slapd process by sending a specially crafted request, causing a Denial of Service.
IBM Cloud Pak for Security (CP4S) 1.7.0.0, 1.7.1.0, 1.7.2.0, and 1.8.0.0 uses weaker than expected cryptographic algorithms that could allow an attacker to decrypt highly sensitive information. IBM X-Force ID: 207320.
An issue was discovered in p11-kit 0.21.1 through 0.23.21. Multiple integer overflows have been discovered in the array allocations in the p11-kit library and the p11-kit list command, where overflow checks are missing before calling realloc or calloc.
In BIND 9.0.0 -> 9.11.29, 9.12.0 -> 9.16.13, and versions BIND 9.9.3-S1 -> 9.11.29-S1 and 9.16.8-S1 -> 9.16.13-S1 of BIND Supported Preview Edition, as well as release versions 9.17.0 -> 9.17.11 of the BIND 9.17 development branch, when a vulnerable version of named receives a query for a record triggering the flaw described above, the named process will terminate due to a failed assertion check. The vulnerability affects all currently maintained BIND 9 branches (9.11, 9.11-S, 9.16, 9.16-S, 9.17) as well as all other versions of BIND 9.
An issue was discovered in p11-kit 0.23.6 through 0.23.21. A heap-based buffer overflow has been discovered in the RPC protocol used by p11-kit server/remote commands and the client library. When the remote entity supplies a serialized byte array in a CKATTRIBUTE, the receiving entity may not allocate sufficient length for the buffer to store the deserialized value.
curl 7.41.0 through 7.73.0 is vulnerable to an improper check for certificate revocation due to insufficient verification of the OCSP response.
An issue was discovered in TrouSerS through 0.3.14. If the tcsd daemon is started with root privileges, the creation of the system.data file is prone to symlink attacks. The tss user can be used to create or corrupt existing files, which could possibly lead to a DoS attack.
In systemd before v242-rc4, it was discovered that pamsystemd does not properly sanitize the environment before using the XDGSEAT variable. It is possible for an attacker, in some particular configurations, to set a XDGSEAT environment variable which allows for commands to be checked against polkit policies using the "allowactive" element rather than "allowany".
A flaw was found in rpm. Given an RPM package signed by a trusted key, it is possible to modify it such that it still passes signature checks, but installing it corrupts the rpmdb.
An integer overflow leading to a heap-buffer overflow was found in The X Input Method (XIM) client was implemented in libX11 before version 1.6.10. As per upstream this is security relevant when setuid programs call XIM client functions while running with elevated privileges. No such programs are shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
systemd could allow a local authenticated attacker to gain elevated privileges on the system, caused by the mishandling of numerical usernames. By sending a specially-crafted request, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to gain elevated privileges as root.
IBM Cloud Pak for Security (CP4S) 1.7.2.0, 1.7.1.0, and 1.7.0.0 could allow an authenticated user to obtain sensitive information in HTTP responses that could be used in further attacks against the system. IBM X-Force ID: 213651.
