An Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling vulnerability in Juniper Networks Junos OS allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause Denial of Service (DoS).

On all Junos OS QFX5000 Series and EX4000 Series platforms, when a high number of VLANs are configured, a specific DHCP packet will cause PFE hogging which will lead to dropping of socket connections.

This issue affects:

Juniper Networks Junos OS on QFX5000 Series and EX4000 Series

An Improper Check or Handling of Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the Packet Forwarding Engine (pfe) of Juniper Networks Junos OS on QFX5000 Series, EX2300, EX3400, EX4100, EX4400 and EX4600 allows a adjacent attacker to send specific traffic, which leads to packet flooding, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).

When a specific IGMP packet is received in an isolated VLAN, it is duplicated to all other ports under the primary VLAN, which causes a flood.

This issue affects QFX5000 series, EX2300, EX3400, EX4100, EX4400 and EX4600 platforms only.

This issue affects Juniper Junos OS on on QFX5000 Series, EX2300, EX3400, EX4100, EX4400 and EX4600:

Receipt of a specific MPLS packet may cause the routing protocol daemon (RPD) process to crash and restart or may lead to remote code execution. By continuously sending specific MPLS packets, an attacker can repeatedly crash the RPD process causing a sustained Denial of Service. This issue affects both IPv4 and IPv6. An unauthenticated root login may allow upon reboot when a commit script is used. A commit script allows a device administrator to execute certain instructions during commit, which is configured under the [system scripts commit] stanza. Certain commit scripts that work without a problem during normal commit may cause unexpected behavior upon reboot which can leave the system in a state where root CLI login is allowed without a password due to the system reverting to a "safe mode" authentication state. Lastly, only logging in physically to the console port as root, with no password, will work. Improper Handling of Exceptional Conditions in Ethernet interface frame processing of Juniper Networks Junos OS allows an attacker to send specially crafted frames over the local Ethernet segment, causing the interface to go into a down state, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) condition. The interface does not recover on its own and the FPC must be reset manually. Continued receipt and processing of these frames will create a sustained Denial of Service (DoS) condition. This issue is platform-specific and affects the following platforms and line cards: MPC7E/8E/9E and MPC10E on MX240, MX480, MX960, MX2008, MX2010, and MX2020 MX204, MX10003, MX10008, MX10016 EX9200, EX9251 SRX4600 No other products or platforms are affected by this vulnerability. An improper check for unusual or exceptional conditions in Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved Routing Protocol Daemon (RPD) service allows an attacker to send a valid BGP FlowSpec message thereby causing an unexpected change in the route advertisements within the BGP FlowSpec domain leading to disruptions in network traffic causing a Denial of Service (DoS) condition. Continued receipt of these update messages will cause a sustained Denial of Service condition. This issue affects Juniper Networks: Junos OS: All versions prior to 17.3R3-S10 with the exceptions of 15.1X49-D240 on SRX Series and 15.1R7-S8 on EX Series; 17.3 versions prior to 17.3R3-S10; 17.4 versions prior to 17.4R2-S12, 17.4R3-S4; 18.1 versions prior to 18.1R3-S12; 18.2 versions prior to 18.2R2-S8, 18.2R3-S6; 18.3 versions prior to 18.3R3-S4; 18.4 versions prior to 18.4R1-S8, 18.4R2-S6, 18.4R3-S6; 19.1 versions prior to 19.1R1-S6, 19.1R2-S2, 19.1R3-S3; 19.2 versions prior to 19.2R3-S1; 19.3 versions prior to 19.3R2-S5, 19.3R3-S1; 19.4 versions prior to 19.4R1-S3, 19.4R2-S3, 19.4R3; 20.1 versions prior to 20.1R2; 20.2 versions prior to 20.2R1-S3 20.2R2; 20.3 versions prior to 20.3R1-S1, 20.3R2.
