A Return of Pointer Value Outside of Expected Range vulnerability in the fileio library of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows a local, low-privilged attacker to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS).
On EX Series, QFX Series and MX Series a low-privileged attacker issuing a specific 'show l2-learning' or 'show ethernet-switching' command will cause an l2ald crash which will lead to a temporary service impact for all layer 2 services until the process has automatically restarted.
This issue affects EX Series, QFX Series, MX Series: Junos OS:
all versions before 23.2R2-S7, 23.4 versions before 23.4R2-S7, 24.2 versions before 24.2R2, 24.4 versions before 24.4R1-S2.
Junos OS Evolved: all versions before 23.2R2-S7-EVO, 23.4 versions before 23.4R2-S8-EVO, 24.2 versions before 24.2R2-EVO, 24.4 versions before 24.4R1-S3-EVO.
An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the Packet Forwarding Engine (PFE) of Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX with SPC3 and SRX Series allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS).
When an affected device initiates a TCP connection to an attacker-controlled system that responds with a specific packet, this causes a PFE crash and restart, which affects all services until the system has automatically recovered. This issue can happen among others in the following scenarios: ALG, SSL proxy, UTM, RTLOG, AppQoE probing, AAMW, ICAP, URL filtering.
This issue affects Junos OS on MX Series with SPC3, SRX5k Series with SPC3, SRX1600 Series, SRX2300 Series, SRX4000 Series, and vSRX Series:
all versions before 23.2R2-S4, 23.4 versions before 23.4R2-S5, 24.2 versions before 24.2R2.
An Improper Validation of Specified Quantity in Input vulnerability in the TCP proxy plugin of Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series with SPC3, and SRX Series allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause a complete Denial of Service (DoS).
When TCP proxy is engaged in a flow session, to support ALGs, Advanced Anti-Malware, ICAP or UTM, a TCP packet with specifically malformed TCP header will cause flow processing daemon (flowd) to crash and restart. This causes a complete service outage until the system has automatically recovered.
This issue affects Junos OS on MX with SPC3, and SRX Series:
23.4 versions before 23.4R2-S7, 24.2 versions before 24.2R2-S4, 24.4 versions before 24.4R2-S3, 25.2 versions before 25.2R2.
This issue does not affect releases before 23.4R1.
A Use of Multiple Resources with Duplicate Identifier vulnerability in the IKE daemon (iked) of Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX with SPC3 and SRX Series allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS).
On an MX with SPC3 and SRX devices configured for VPN service, when a large number of VPN negotiations fail a peer index rollover will eventually occur. As a result, new peers are assigned index values that are already in use and the iked process starts to crash repeatedly. This results in failure to establish new VPN connections and rekeying existing ones. To restore service the system must be rebooted. Please note that the index value can't be monitored, so customers should monitor tunnel up and down events and if a lot of events occur over an extended period of time it becomes likely that this issue occurs.
To be exposed to this issue the system needs to run iked (vs. kmd which is not affected), which can be verified with:

An Improper Validation of Syntactic Correctness of Input vulnerability in the SIP plugin of Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series with SPC3 and SRX Series allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS).If the SIP ALG is enabled on an affected device, the processing of a malformed SIP invite packet will cause a flow processing daemon (flowd) crash and restart. This leads to a complete service outage until the system has automatically recovered.

An Improper Validation of Specified Quantity in Input vulnerability in the Packet Forwarding Engine (pfe) of Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series allows an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS).
When a specific packet is received from device in the same broadcast domain, an affected system calculates the packet size incorrectly. This causes further packet processing to fail, which triggers an FPC major error, resulting in a FPC reset impacting traffic until the FPC has automatically recovered.
Affected scenarios are: MAP-T, or non-IP traffic encapsulated in IP (e.g. MPLS over GRE).
When this issue happens the following logs can be observed:

A Use of Incorrectly-Resolved Name or Reference vulnerability in the URL filtering plugin of Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to bypass web filtering and access downstream resources that should be unreachable.
If an MX Series device is configured with web filtering, and an attacker sends a request with a specifically formatted URL, this request will get forwarded despite the system being configured to block it. In turn, an attacker can access downstream resources that are expected to be unreachable.

An Unsupported Feature in the UI vulnerability in Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series and EX9200 Series allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause partial impact to the integrity of the device.
If the "tcp-reset" option is added to the "reject" action in an IPv6 filter which matches on "payload-protocol", packets are permitted instead of rejected. This happens because the payload-protocol match criteria is not supported in the kernel filter causing it to accept all packets without taking any other action. As a fix the payload-protocol match will be treated the same as a "next-header" match to avoid this filter bypass.
This issue doesn't affect IPv4 firewall filters.

An Improper Handling of Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the broadband edge subscriber management daemon (bbe-smgd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series allows an attacker directly connected to the vulnerable system who repeatedly flaps DHCP subscriber sessions to cause a slow memory leak, ultimately leading to a Denial of Service (DoS). Memory can only be recovered by manually restarting bbe-smgd.
This issue only occurs if BFD liveness detection for DHCP subscribers is enabled. Systems without BFD liveness detection enabled are not vulnerable to this issue.
Indication of the issue can be observed by periodically executing the 'show system processes extensive' command, which will indicate an increase in memory allocation for bbe-smgd. A small amount of memory is leaked every time a DHCP subscriber logs in, which will become visible over time, ultimately leading to memory starvation.

An Improper Handling of Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in packet processing of Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series allows an unauthenticated network-based attacker to send specific packets to an Aggregated Multiservices (AMS) interface on the device, causing the packet forwarding engine (PFE) to crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). Continued receipt and processing of this packet will create a sustained Denial of Service (DoS) condition.
This issue is only triggered by packets destined to a local-interface via a service-interface (AMS). AMS is only supported on the MS-MPC, MS-MIC, and MX-SPC3 cards. This issue is not experienced on other types of interfaces or configurations. Additionally, transit traffic does not trigger this issue.
This issue affects Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series: All versions prior to 19.1R3-S10; 19.2 versions prior to 19.2R3-S7; 19.3 versions prior to 19.3R3-S8; 19.4 versions prior to 19.4R3-S12; 20.2 versions prior to 20.2R3-S8; 20.4 versions prior to 20.4R3-S7; 21.1 versions prior to 21.1R3-S5; 21.2 versions prior to 21.2R3-S5; 21.3 versions prior to 21.3R3-S4; 21.4 versions prior to 21.4R3-S3; 22.1 versions prior to 22.1R3-S2; 22.2 versions prior to 22.2R3; 22.3 versions prior to 22.3R2-S1, 22.3R3; 22.4 versions prior to 22.4R1-S2, 22.4R2.
The FPC (Flexible PIC Concentrator) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved may restart after processing a specific IPv4 packet. Only packets destined to the device itself, successfully reaching the RE through existing edge and control plane filtering, will be able to cause the FPC restart. When this issue occurs, all traffic via the FPC will be dropped. By continuously sending this specific IPv4 packet, an attacker can repeatedly crash the FPC, causing an extended Denial of Service (DoS) condition. This issue can only occur when processing a specific IPv4 packet. IPv6 packets cannot trigger this issue. This issue affects: Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series with MPC10E or MPC11E and PTX10001: 19.2 versions prior to 19.2R1-S4, 19.2R2; 19.3 versions prior to 19.3R2-S2, 19.3R3; 19.4 versions prior to 19.4R1-S1, 19.4R2. Due to a new NDP proxy feature for EVPN leaf nodes introduced in Junos OS 17.4, crafted NDPv6 packets could transit a Junos device configured as a Broadband Network Gateway (BNG) and reach the EVPN leaf node, causing a stale MAC address entry. This could cause legitimate traffic to be discarded, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) condition. This issue only affects Junos OS 17.4 and later releases. Prior releases do not support this feature and are unaffected by this vulnerability. This issue only affects IPv6. IPv4 ARP proxy is unaffected by this vulnerability. This issue affects Juniper Networks Junos OS: 17.4 versions prior to 17.4R2-S9, 17.4R3 on MX Series; 18.1 versions prior to 18.1R3-S9 on MX Series; 18.2 versions prior to 18.2R2-S7, 18.2R3-S3 on MX Series; 18.2X75 versions prior to 18.2X75-D33, 18.2X75-D411, 18.2X75-D420, 18.2X75-D60 on MX Series; 18.3 versions prior to 18.3R1-S7, 18.3R2-S3, 18.3R3 on MX Series; 18.4 versions prior to 18.4R1-S5, 18.4R2-S2, 18.4R3 on MX Series; 19.1 versions prior to 19.1R1-S4, 19.1R2 on MX Series; 19.2 versions prior to 19.2R1-S3, 19.2R2 on MX Series.

This issue affects Junos OS on MX Series:
All versions before 21.2R3-S7, from 21.4 before 21.4R3-S6, from 22.1 before 22.1R3-S5, from 22.2 before 22.2R3-S3, from 22.3 before 22.3R3-S2, from 22.4 before 22.4R3, from 23.2 before 23.2R2, from 23.4 before 23.4R2.
A NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in the Packet Forwarding Engine (pfe) of Juniper Networks Junos OS allows a local, low-privileged attacker to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS).
When a specific command is executed, the pfe crashes. This will cause traffic forwarding to be interrupted until the system self-recovers. Repeated execution will create a sustained DoS condition.
This issue only affects MX Series devices with Line cards MPC1-MPC9. This issue affects: Junos OS on MX Series:
All versions before 21.4R3-S9, from 22.2 before 22.2R3-S5, from 22.3 before 22.3R3-S4, from 22.4 before 22.4R3-S2, from 23.2 before 23.2R2-S1, from 23.4 before 23.4R2.
An Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability in the http daemon (httpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS on SRX Series, QFX Series, MX Series and EX Series allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause Denial-of-Service (DoS).
An attacker can send specific HTTPS connection requests to the device, triggering the creation of processes that are not properly terminated. Over time, this leads to resource exhaustion, ultimately causing the device to crash and restart.
The following command can be used to monitor the resource usage: user@host> show system processes extensive | match mgd | count
This issue affects Junos OS on SRX Series and EX Series: All versions before 21.4R3-S7, from 22.2 before 22.2R3-S4, from 22.3 before 22.3R3-S3, from 22.4 before 22.4R3-S2, from 23.2 before 23.2R2-S1, from 23.4 before 23.4R1-S2, 23.4R2.
A Double Free vulnerability in the flow processing daemon (flowd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS on SRX and MX Series allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS). On all SRX and MX Series platforms, when during TCP session establishment a specific sequence of packets is encountered a double free happens. This causes flowd to crash and the respective FPC to restart.
This issue affects Junos OS on SRX and MX Series:
all versions before 22.4R3-S7, 23.2 versions before 23.2R2-S3, 23.4 versions before 23.4R2-S4, 24.2 versions before 24.2R2.
A Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition ('Infinite Loop') vulnerability in the SIP application layer gateway (ALG) of Juniper Networks Junos OS on SRX Series and MX Series with MX-SPC3 or MS-MPC allows an unauthenticated network-based attacker sending specific SIP messages over TCP to crash the flow management process, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS).
On SRX Series, and MX Series with MX-SPC3 or MS-MPC service cards, receipt of multiple SIP messages causes the SIP headers to be parsed incorrectly, eventually causing a continuous loop and leading to a watchdog timer expiration, crashing the flowd process on SRX Series and MX Series with MX-SPC3, or mspmand process on MX Series with MS-MPC.
This issue only occurs over TCP. SIP messages sent over UDP cannot trigger this issue.
This issue affects Junos OS on SRX Series and MX Series with MX-SPC3 and MS-MPC:
all versions before 21.2R3-S10, from 21.4 before 21.4R3-S12, from 22.4 before 22.4R3-S8, from 23.2 before 23.2R2-S5, from 23.4 before 23.4R2-S6, from 24.2 before 24.2R2-S3, from 24.4 before 24.4R2-S1, from 25.2 before 25.2R1-S1, 25.2R2.
