It was discovered that the RMI (Java Remote Method Invocation) server implementation in the JMX (Java Management Extensions) component of OpenJDK did not restrict which classes can be deserialized when deserializing authentication credentials. A remote unauthenticated attacker able to connect to a JMX port could possibly use this flaw trigger deserialization flaws.
An old inffast.c optimization turns out to not be optimal anymore with modern compilers, and furthermore was not compliant with the C standard, for which decrementing a pointer before its allocated memory is undefined.

A flaw was found in the Serialization component of OpenJDK handled serialization filter. A process-wide filter could have been modified by setting jdk.serialFilter system property at runtime, possibly leading to a bypass of the intended filter during deserialization.
A flaw was found in Apache Santuario (XML Security for Java) in the way it processed some paths. A remote attacker could use this flaw to circumvent the "secure validation" feature and disclose potentially sensitive information in local XML files.
An unspecified vulnerability in Java SE related to the Libraries component could allow an unauthenticated attacker to cause no confidentiality impact, high integrity impact, and no availability impact.
It was discovered that the Kerberos implementation in the Security component of OpenJDK used RSA-MD5 checksum in Ticket Granting Service (TGS) requests even though MD5 algorithm is no longer considered safe for such use case. A remote attacker could possibly use this flaw to manipulate TGS requests.
An unspecified vulnerability in Java SE could allow an unauthenticated attacker to cause no confidentiality impact, high integrity impact, and no availability impact.
It was discovered that the Kerberos protocol implementation in the Libraries component of OpenJDK did not correctly report subject principals when using Kerberos Constrained Delegation. This could lead to the use of wrong Kerberos tickets.
An unspecified vulnerability in Java SE related to the JSSE component could allow an unauthenticated attacker to obtain sensitive information resulting in a high confidentiality impact using unknown attack vectors.
Vulnerability in the Java SE product of Oracle Java SE (component: JavaFX). The supported version that is affected is Java SE: 8u231. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise Java SE. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized creation, deletion or modification access to critical data or all Java SE accessible data. Note: This vulnerability applies to Java deployments, typically in clients running sandboxed Java Web Start applications or sandboxed Java applets (in Java SE 8), that load and run untrusted code (e.g., code that comes from the internet) and rely on the Java sandbox for security. This vulnerability can also be exploited by using APIs in the specified Component, e.g., through a web service which supplies data to the APIs. CVSS 3.0 Base Score 5.9 (Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N).
An unspecified vulnerability in Java SE related to the Scripting component could allow an unauthenticated attacker to cause no confidentiality impact, low integrity impact, and low availability impact.
An out of bounds access flaw was found in the optimized implementation of String indexof() method for x86 platform in the Hotspot component of OpenJDK. This could cause Java Virtual Machine to crash or disclose limited information about the memory content.
GStreamer before 1.18.4 may perform an out-of-bounds read when handling certain ID3v2 tags.
A use-after-free vulnerability was discovered in the pngimagefree function in the libpng library. This could lead to denial of service or a potentially exploitable crash when a malformed image is processed.
An unspecified vulnerability in Java SE related to the JNDI component could allow an unauthenticated attacker to cause no confidentiality impact, low integrity impact, and no availability impact.
An unspecified vulnerability in Java SE related to the Libraries component could allow an unauthenticated attacker to cause no confidentiality impact, low integrity impact, and no availability impact.
An unspecified vulnerability in Java SE related to the JAXP component could allow an unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service resulting in a low availability impact using unknown attack vectors.
It was discovered that the TIFF plugin in the ImageIO component of OpenJDK did not restrict the amount of memory allocated when reading TIFF image files. A specially-crafted TIFF file could cause a Java application using ImageIO to allocate an excessive amount of memory disproportionate to the image size.
A flaw was found in the way the XMLSchemaValidator class in the JAXP component of OpenJDK enforced the "use-grammar-pool-only" feature. A specially-crafted XML file could possibly use this flaw to manipulate with the validation process in certain cases.
A flaw was found in the SSL logger implementation in the JSSE component of OpenJDK. A malicious client could cause a Java application acting as TLS server to raise an unexpected exception during TLS handshake.
A flaw was found in the way the Keytool component of OpenJDK handled X.509 certificates with validity period ending too far in the future, after year 9999. When such certificates were imported into a keystore, they could cause corruption of the keystore.
An unspecified vulnerability in Java SE related to the Libraries component could allow an unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service resulting in a low availability impact using unknown attack vectors.
A flaw was found in the way the RTFReader class implementation in the Swing component of OpenJDK handled style keyword parameters. A specially crafted Rich Text Format (RTF) file could cause a Java application using RTFReader to allocate an excessive ammount of memory and possibly terminate on out-of-memory condition.
A flaw was found in the way the Hotspot component of OpenJDK handled array indexes on 64-bit x86 platform. A large index could trigger a displacement overflow in LIRGenerator::emitarrayaddress, possibly leading to an access at an invalid array position.
A flaw was found in the way the Attributes class in the Libraries component of OpenJDK performed reading of attributes with very long values from JAR file manifests. A specially-crafted JAR archive could cause a Java application reading its manifest to use excessive amount of system resources and hang.
A flaw was found in the way the Hotspot component of OpenJDK processed classes with fields that needed to be written to in Rewriter::scanmethod(). A specially-crafted Java class file could use this flaw to crash Java virtual machine.
