A flaw was found in FasterXML Jackson Databind which did not have entity expansion secured properly making it vulnerable to XML external entity (XXE). This vulnerability is similar to CVE-2019-10172. The primary threat from this flaw is data integrity.
A flaw was found in the Apache Log4j logging library 2.x. when the logging configuration uses a non-default Pattern Layout with a Context Lookup. Attackers with control over Thread Context Map (MDC) input data can craft malicious input data that contains a recursive lookup and can cause Denial of Service.
A flaw was found in the Apache Xerces Java (XercesJ) XML parser when handling specially crafted XML document payloads. This issue causes the XercesJ XML parser to wait in an infinite loop, which may consume system resources for a prolonged duration, leading to a denial of service condition.
A flaw was found in jackson-databind. FasterXML mishandles the interaction between serialization gadgets and typing. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.
A vulnerability was found in Hibernate-Validator. The SafeHtml validator annotation fails to properly sanitize payloads consisting of potentially malicious code in HTML comments and instructions. This vulnerability can result in an XSS attack.
Impact Accepting the value of various Text options of the Datepicker widget from untrusted sources may execute untrusted code. For example, initializing the datepicker in the following way: js $( "#datepicker" ).datepicker( { showButtonPanel: true, showOn: "both", closeText: "<script>doEvilThing( 'closeText XSS' )</script>", currentText: "<script>doEvilThing( 'currentText XSS' )</script>", prevText: "<script>doEvilThing( 'prevText XSS' )</script>", nextText: "<script>doEvilThing( 'nextText XSS' )</script>", buttonText: "<script>doEvilThing( 'buttonText XSS' )</script>", appendText: "<script>doEvilThing( 'appendText XSS' )</script>", } ); will call doEvilThing with 6 different parameters coming from all Text options.
Patches The issue is fixed in jQuery UI 1.13.0. The values passed to various Text options are now always treated as pure text, not HTML.
Workarounds A workaround is to not accept the value of the Text options from untrusted sources.

Apache Ant is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by an out-of-memory error when large amounts of memory are allocated. By persuading a victim to open a specially-crafted TAR archive, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause the application to crash.
Vulnerability in the Advanced Networking Option component of Oracle Database Server. Supported versions that are affected are 12.1.0.2, 12.2.0.1 and 19c. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via Oracle Net to compromise Advanced Networking Option. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and while the vulnerability is in Advanced Networking Option, attacks may significantly impact additional products. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in takeover of Advanced Networking Option. Note: The July 2021 Critical Patch Update introduces a number of Native Network Encryption changes to deal with vulnerability CVE-2021-2351 and prevent the use of weaker ciphers. Customers should review: "Changes in Native Network Encryption with the July 2021 Critical Patch Update" (Doc ID 2791571.1). A Polymorphic Typing issue was discovered in FasterXML jackson-databind 2.0.0 prior to 2.9.10.1, 2.8.11.5, and 2.6.7.3. When Default Typing is enabled (either globally or for a specific property) for an externally exposed JSON endpoint and the service has the apache-log4j-extra (version 1.2.x) jar in the classpath, and an attacker can provide a JNDI service to access, it is possible to make the service execute a malicious payload.
Impact Passing HTML containing <option> elements from untrusted sources - even after sanitizing them - to one of jQuery's DOM manipulation methods (i.e. .html(), .append(), and others) may execute untrusted code.
Patches This problem is patched in jQuery 3.5.0.
Workarounds To workaround this issue without upgrading, use DOMPurify with its SAFEFORJQUERY option to sanitize the HTML string before passing it to a jQuery method.

A flaw was found in the Jackson Databind package. This cause of the issue is due to a Java StackOverflow exception and a denial of service via a significant depth of nested objects.
lodash versions prior to 4.17.21 are vulnerable to Command Injection via the template function.
A flaw was found in nodejs-lodash. A Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) via the toNumber, trim and trimEnd functions is possible.
A flaw was found in nodejs-lodash in versions 4.17.15 and earlier. A prototype pollution attack is possible which can lead to arbitrary code execution. The primary threat from this vulnerability is to data integrity and system availability.
Impact The content-length header is not correctly validated if the request only use a single Http2HeaderFrame with the endStream set to to true. This could lead to request smuggling if the request is proxied to a remote peer and translated to HTTP/1.1
This is a followup of https://github.com/netty/netty/security/advisories/GHSA-wm47-8v5p-wjpj which did miss to fix this one case.
Patches This was fixed as part of 4.1.61.Final
Workarounds Validation can be done by the user before proxy the request by validating the header.
Apache Log4j <=2.14.1 JNDI features used in configuration, log messages, and parameters do not protect against attacker controlled LDAP and other JNDI related endpoints. An attacker who can control log messages or log message parameters can execute arbitrary code loaded from LDAP servers when message lookup substitution is enabled (CVE-2021-44228).
A flaw was found in apache-commons-compress. When reading a specially crafted ZIP archive, Compress can allocate large amounts of memory that leads to an out-of-memory error for small inputs. This flaw allows the mounting of a denial of service attack against services that use Compress' zip package. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability.
A resource consumption vulnerability was discovered in apache-commons-compress in the way NioZipEncoding encodes filenames. Applications that use Compress to create archives, with one of the filenames within the archive being controlled by the user, may be vulnerable to this flaw. A remote attacker could exploit this flaw to cause an infinite loop during the archive creation, thus leading to a denial of service.
