LibreOffice 4.2.4 executes unspecified VBA macros automatically, which has unspecified impact and attack vectors, possibly related to doc/docmacromode.cxx.
The SoapClient implementation in PHP before 5.4.40, 5.5.x before 5.5.24, and 5.6.x before 5.6.8 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via an unexpected data type, related to "type confusion" issues in the (1) SoapClient::getLastRequest, (2) SoapClient::getLastResponse, (3) SoapClient::getLastRequestHeaders, (4) SoapClient::getLastResponseHeaders, (5) SoapClient::getCookies, and (6) SoapClient::setCookie methods.
The exception::getTraceAsString function in Zend/zendexceptions.c in PHP before 5.4.40, 5.5.x before 5.5.24, and 5.6.x before 5.6.8 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via an unexpected data type, related to a "type confusion" issue.
PHP before 5.6.7 might allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via an unexpected data type, related to "type confusion" issues in (1) ext/soap/phpencoding.c, (2) ext/soap/phphttp.c, and (3) ext/soap/soap.c, a different issue than CVE-2015-4600.
The PHPIncompleteClass function in ext/standard/incompleteclass.c in PHP before 5.4.40, 5.5.x before 5.5.24, and 5.6.x before 5.6.8 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via an unexpected data type, related to a "type confusion" issue.
The SoapFault::toString method in ext/soap/soap.c in PHP before 5.4.40, 5.5.x before 5.5.24, and 5.6.x before 5.6.8 allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information, cause a denial of service (application crash), or possibly execute arbitrary code via an unexpected data type, related to a "type confusion" issue.
It was found that ceph-isci-cli package as shipped by Red Hat Ceph Storage 2 and 3 is using python-werkzeug in debug shell mode. This is done by setting debug=True in file /usr/bin/rbd-target-api provided by ceph-isci-cli package. This allows unauthenticated attackers to access this debug shell and escalate privileges. Once an attacker has successfully connected to this debug shell they will be able to execute arbitrary commands remotely. These commands will run with the same privileges as of user executing the application which is using python-werkzeug with debug shell mode enabled. In - Red Hat Ceph Storage 2 and 3, ceph-isci-cli package runs python-werkzeug library with root level permissions.
Mercurial clients sometimes connect to URLs provided by the repository, as subrepositories, via the .hgsub file.
A maliciously constructed ssh:// URL would cause Mercurial clients to run an arbitrary shell command. Such a URL could be generated by a malicious server, by a malicious user committing to a honest server (to attack another user of that server's repositories), or by a proxy server.
The vulnerability affects all clients, including those that use file://, http://, and ssh://.
Oracle MySQL through 5.5.52, 5.6.x through 5.6.33, and 5.7.x through 5.7.15; MariaDB before 5.5.51, 10.0.x before 10.0.27, and 10.1.x before 10.1.17; and Percona Server before 5.5.51-38.1, 5.6.x before 5.6.32-78.0, and 5.7.x before 5.7.14-7 allow local users to create arbitrary configurations and bypass certain protection mechanisms by setting generallogfile to a my.cnf configuration. NOTE: this can be leveraged to execute arbitrary code with root privileges by setting malloclib. NOTE: the affected MySQL version information is from Oracle's October 2016 CPU. Oracle has not commented on third-party claims that the issue was silently patched in MySQL 5.5.52, 5.6.33, and 5.7.15.
The smartcard interaction in SPICE allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (QEMU-KVM process crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via vectors related to connecting to a guest VM, which triggers a heap-based buffer overflow.
Memory safety bugs were reported in Firefox 54, Firefox ESR 52.2, and Thunderbird 52.2. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort that some of these could be exploited to run arbitrary code. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 52.3, Firefox ESR < 52.3, and Firefox < 55.
Memory safety bugs were reported in Thunderbird 45.7. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort that some of these could be exploited to run arbitrary code. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 52, Firefox ESR < 45.8, Thunderbird < 52, and Thunderbird < 45.8.
A heap buffer overflow flaw was found in QEMU's Cirrus CLGD 54xx VGA emulator's VNC display driver support before 2.9; the issue could occur when a VNC client attempted to update its display after a VGA operation is performed by a guest. A privileged user/process inside a guest could use this flaw to crash the QEMU process or, potentially, execute arbitrary code on the host with privileges of the QEMU process.
Quick emulator (QEMU) before 2.8 built with the Cirrus CLGD 54xx VGA Emulator support is vulnerable to an out-of-bounds access issue. The issue could occur while copying VGA data in cirrusbitbltcputovideo. A privileged user inside guest could use this flaw to crash the QEMU process OR potentially execute arbitrary code on host with privileges of the QEMU process.
A use-after-free vulnerability can occur when flushing and resizing layout because the "PressShell" object has been freed while still in use. This results in a potentially exploitable crash during these operations. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 57, Firefox ESR < 52.5, and Thunderbird < 52.5.
JIT code allocation can allow for a bypass of ASLR and DEP protections leading to potential memory corruption attacks.
Use-after-free while manipulating XSL in XSLT documents
A potential use-after-free found through fuzzing during DOM manipulation of SVG content.
The JSON viewer in the Developer Tools uses insecure methods to create a communication channel for copying and viewing JSON or HTTP headers data, allowing for potential privilege escalation.
A use-after-free vulnerability in the Media Decoder when working with media files when some events are fired after the media elements are freed from memory.
Memory safety bugs were reported in Firefox 50.1 and Firefox ESR 45.6. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort that some of these could be exploited to run arbitrary code. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 45.7, Firefox ESR < 45.7, and Firefox < 51.
Use-after-free while manipulating DOM events and removing audio elements due to errors in the handling of node adoption.
Use-after-free resulting in potentially exploitable crash when manipulating DOM subtrees in the Editor.
Memory safety bugs were reported in Thunderbird 45.5. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort that some of these could be exploited to run arbitrary code. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 50.1, Firefox ESR < 45.6, and Thunderbird < 45.6.
HTML tags received from the Pocket server will be processed without sanitization and any JavaScript code executed will be run in the about:pocket-saved (unprivileged) page, giving it access to Pocket's messaging API through HTML injection.
A use-after-free vulnerability when using an incorrect URL during the reloading of a docshell. This results in a potentially exploitable crash.
A use-after-free vulnerability with content viewer listeners that results in a potentially exploitable crash.
A use-after-free vulnerability during video control operations when a "<track>" element holds a reference to an older window if that window has been replaced in the DOM. This results in a potentially exploitable crash. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 54, Firefox ESR < 52.2, and Thunderbird < 52.2.
A use-after-free vulnerability can occur in the Fetch API when the worker or the associated window are freed when still in use, resulting in a potentially exploitable crash.
