A flaw was found in the way memory was being allocated on the stack for user space binaries. If heap and stack memory regions were adjacent to each other, an attacker could use this flaw to jump over the heap/stack gap, cause controlled memory corruption on process stack or heap, and thus increase their privileges on the system.
This is a tracking bug for the glibc part of the mitigation.
It was discovered that EAP packages in certain versions of Red Hat Enterprise Linux use incorrect permissions for /etc/sysconfig/jbossas configuration files. The file is writable to jboss group (root:jboss, 664). On systems using classic /etc/init.d init scripts (i.e. on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 and earlier), the file is sourced by the jbossas init script and its content executed with root privileges when jbossas service is started, stopped or restarted.

/usr/libexec/openldap/generate-server-cert.sh in openldap-servers sets weak permissions for the TLS certificate, which allows local users to obtain the TLS certificate by leveraging a race condition between the creation of the certificate, and the chmod to protect it.
A vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel in function rdsincinfocopy of file net/rds/recv.c. The last field "flags" of object "minfo" is not initialized. Copying this object out may leak kernel stack data. Assign 0 to it to avoid leak.

A flaw was found in the way ansi cprng implementation in the Linux kernel processed non-block size aligned requests. If several small requests are made that are less than the instances block size, the remainder for loop code doesn't increment randdatavalid in the last iteration, meaning that the last bytes in the randdata buffer gets reused on the subsequent smaller-than-a-block request for random data.

If a tcpmux service is enabled, the user and group directives are ignored and the service always runs as root. Verified in the xinetd codebase and affects all active versions of RHEL and Fedora. A vulnerability was identified in the way in which method-level authorization for JAX-WS Service endpoints was performed by the EJB invocation handler implementation. Any restrictions declared on EJB methods were ignored when executing the JAX-WS handlers and only class-level restrictions were applied. A remote attacker who is authorized to access the EJB class, could invoke a JAX-WS handler that they are not authorized to.
Linux kernel built with an Ext4 file system is vulnerable to a system hang situation when [auto]mounting a non-journal filesystem with an orphan list to clear.

A security flaw was found in the way init script implementation of the Tomcat service, an Apache Servlet/JSP Engine, as used in various versions of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Fedora, performed management of Tomcat log file. A local attacker could use this flaw to cause denial of service or, potentially, execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the privileged system user (root) via symbolic link attacks on Tomcat log file.
