A flaw was found in source-to-image as shipped with Openshift Enterprise 3.6. A improper path validation of tar files in ExtractTarStreamFromTarReader in tar/tar.go leads to privilege escalation.
Jordan Liggitt of Red Hat reports:
The OpenShift Enterprise 3 router sometimes selects new routes over old routes when determining claimed hostnames. This can result in a new route improperly overwriting an older route.
Directory traversal vulnerability in Kubernetes, as used in Red Hat OpenShift Enterprise 3.0, allows attackers to write to arbitrary files via a crafted object type name, which is not properly handled before passing it to etcd.
Jordan Liggitt of Atomic OpenShift reports:
UPSTREAM: 17886: pod log location must validate container if provided #6113 has security implications, specifically a running pod could make an API call to view the logs of any pod running on the same Node.

Jenkins before versions 2.44, 2.32.2 is vulnerable to an insufficient permission check for periodic processes (SECURITY-389). The URLs /workspaceCleanup and /fingerprintCleanup did not perform permission checks, allowing users with read access to Jenkins to trigger these background processes (that are otherwise performed daily), possibly causing additional load on Jenkins master and agents.
An input validation flaw was found in the way OpenShift 3 handles requests for images. A user, with a copy of the manifest associated with an image, can pull an image even if they do not have access to the image normally, resulting in the disclosure of any information contained within the image.
Kubernetes in OpenShift3 allows remote authenticated users to use the private images of other users should they know the name of said image.
A user can create a project named "myProject", use that project for a while and then delete it. After the original project is deleted, another user can create a project called "myProject". Since the subjectaccessreview will now pass for this second user, they will be able to access metrics from the original project.
