Red Hat Network (RHN) Satellite 5.3 and 5.4 exposes a dangerous, obsolete XML-RPC API, which allows remote authenticated users to access arbitrary files and cause a denial of service (failed yum operations) via vectors related to configuration and package group (comps.xml) files for channels.
Red Hat Network (RHN) Satellite Server 5.4 does not use a time delay after a failed login attempt, which makes it easier for remote attackers to conduct brute force password guessing attacks.
A session fixation flaw was found in the way Red Hat Network (RHN) Satellite and Spacewalk services handled session cookies. An RHN Satellite or Spacewalk Server user able to pre-set the session cookie in a victim's browser to a valid value could use this flaw to hijack the victim's session after the next log in.

It was found that the web interface provided by Red Hat Satellite to create the initial administrator user was not disabled after the initial user was created. A remote attacker could use this flaw to create an administrator user with credentials they specify. This user could then be used to assume control of the Satellite server.
The Inter-Satellite Sync (ISS) operation in Red Hat Network (RHN) Satellite 5.3, 5.4, and 5.5 does not properly check client "authenticity," which allows remote attackers to obtain channel content by skipping the initial authentication call.
Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in spacewalk-java 1.2.39, 1.7.54, and 2.0.2 in Spacewalk and Red Hat Network (RHN) Satellite 5.4 through 5.6 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via a crafted request that is not properly handled when logging.
