Many software projects and vendors have implemented support for the “Proxy” request header in their respective CGI implementations and languages by creating the “HTTPPROXY” environmental variable based on the header value. When this variable is used (in many cases automatically by various HTTP client libraries) any outgoing requests generated in turn from the attackers original request can be redirected to an attacker controlled proxy. This allows attackers to view potentially sensitive information, reply with malformed data, or to hold connections open causing a potential denial of service.
The Go programming language can automatically populate the HTTPPROXY environmental variable with a user supplied "Proxy" header.
A flaw was found in libxml2's xmlBuildQName function, where integer overflows in buffer size calculations can lead to a stack-based buffer overflow. This issue can result in memory corruption or a denial of service when processing crafted input.
A flaw was found in rsync which could be triggered when rsync compares file checksums. This flaw allows an attacker to manipulate the checksum length (s2length) to cause a comparison between a checksum and uninitialized memory and leak one byte of uninitialized stack data at a time.
A vulnerability allowing to elevate privileges from the abrt user to root was reported. If a program starting with the name "abrt" crashes, abrt-hook-ccpp will write the coredump to /var/tmp/abrt/$filename-coredump or /var/spool/abrt/$filename-coredump. From abrt-hook-ccpp.c:

The call to xopen3() does not include the flag ONOFOLLOW and is therefore vulnerable to a symlink attack.
This vulnerability is not exploitable on RHEL installations with default configuration. It can be exploitable if the system is configured to use non-RHN yum repositories. This is because yum is normally not usable by non-root users if the only configured repositories are RHN.

An input validation flaw was found in the URL class implementation in the Networking component of OpenJDK. A URL class instance could have been created for a URL string containing invalid characters not permitted in URLs.
An infinite loop flaw was found in the RIFF (Resource Interchange File Format) file format reader in the Sound component of OpenJDK. A specially crafted RIFF file could cause a Java application to enter an infinite loop while reading the RIFF file.
It was discovered that the implementation of the Throwable class in the Utilities component of OpenJDK did not sufficiently validate serial stream before deserializing suppressed exceptions. A specially-crafted input could cause a Java application to construct inconsistent object and possibly use an excessive amount of system resources when deserialized.
It was discovered that the implementation of the Collections class in the Utilities component of OpenJDK did not limit the amount of memory allocated when creating object instance from a serialized form. A specially-crafted input could cause a Java application to use an excessive amount of memory when deserialized.
It was discovered that the AccessController class implementation in the Security component of OpenJDK failed, in certain cases, to consider the current context and correctly restrict privileges based on it. An untrusted Java application or applet could use this flaw to bypass certain Java sandbox restrictions.
A certificate verification flaw was found in the JSSE component of OpenJDK. No check was preformed during the TLS session resumption to ensure that the same endpoint identification algorithm had been used when originally opening the session as was required when resuming the session. In certain cases, this could lead to having TLS connection established without required server identity verification.
A flaw was found in the Apache Commons BeanUtils, where the class property in PropertyUtilsBean is not suppressed by default. This flaw allows an attacker to access the classloader.

A random memory access flaw was found in the Linux kernel's GPU i915 kernel driver functionality in the way a user may run malicious code on the GPU. This flaw allows a local user to crash the system or escalate their privileges on the system.
A buffer overflow can occur when the image renderer attempts to paint non-displayable SVG elements. This results in a potentially exploitable crash.
A Local Privilege Escalation vulnerability (from any user to root) was found in polkit's pkexec, a SUID-root program that is installed by default on every major Linux distribution.
A flaw was found in libsoup. The package is vulnerable to a heap buffer over-read when sniffing content via the skipinsightwhitespace() function. Libsoup clients may read one byte out-of-bounds in response to a crafted HTTP response by an HTTP server.
dhcpd: use-after-free error leads crash in IPv6 mode when using mismatched BIND libraries
A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter: nftables component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation.
The nftverdictinit() function allows positive values as drop error within the hook verdict, and hence the nfhookslow() function can cause a double free vulnerability when NFDROP is issued with a drop error which resembles NFACCEPT.

A vulnerability was discovered in Tomcat where if a servlet context was configured with readonly=false and HTTP PUT requests were allowed, an attacker could upload a JSP file to that context and achieve code execution.
A Polymorphic Typing issue was discovered in FasterXML jackson-databind 2.0.0 prior to 2.9.10.1, 2.8.11.5, and 2.6.7.3. When Default Typing is enabled (either globally or for a specific property) for an externally exposed JSON endpoint and the service has the apache-log4j-extra (version 1.2.x) jar in the classpath, and an attacker can provide a JNDI service to access, it is possible to make the service execute a malicious payload.
A flaw was found in Node.js versions before 6.15.0, 8.14.0, 10.14.0 and 11.3.0. A Denial of Service with large HTTP headers. By using a combination of many requests with maximum sized headers (almost 80 KB per connection), and carefully timed completion of the headers, it is possible to cause the HTTP server to abort from heap allocation failure. Attack potential is mitigated by the use of a load balancer or other proxy layer.

A malicious web application running on Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.M9, 8.5.0 to 8.5.4, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.36, 7.0.0 to 7.0.70 and 6.0.0 to 6.0.45 was able to bypass a configured SecurityManager via manipulation of the configuration parameters for the JSP Servlet.

A flaw was found in Apache Thrift versions 0.9.3 to 0.12.0. A server implemented in Go using TJSONProtocol or TSimpleJSONProtocol may panic when feed with invalid input data.
