Hyper-Threading technology, as used in FreeBSD and other operating systems that are run on Intel Pentium and other processors, allows local users to use a malicious thread to create covert channels, monitor the execution of other threads, and obtain sensitive information such as cryptographic keys, via a timing attack on memory cache misses.
The Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) allows local users to cause a denial of service via an IGMP membership report to a target's Ethernet address instead of the Multicast group address, which causes the target to stop sending reports to the router and effectively disconnect the group from the network.
Race condition in the (1) loadelflibrary and (2) binfmtaout function calls for uselib in Linux kernel 2.4 through 2.429-rc2 and 2.6 through 2.6.10 allows local users to execute arbitrary code by manipulating the VMA descriptor.

Stack-based buffer overflow in the ieeeputascii function for nasm 0.98 and earlier allows attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted asm file, a different vulnerability than CVE-2004-1287.
Gaim before 1.1.3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop) via malformed SNAC packets from (1) AIM or (2) ICQ.
The HTML parsing functions in Gaim before 1.1.3 allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) via malformed HTML that causes "an invalid memory access," a different vulnerability than CVE-2005-0208.
The KAME racoon daemon in ipsec-tools before 0.5 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via malformed ISAKMP packets.
Race condition in the page fault handler (fault.c) for Linux kernel 2.2.x to 2.2.7, 2.4 to 2.4.29, and 2.6 to 2.6.10, when running on multiprocessor machines, allows local users to execute arbitrary code via concurrent threads that share the same virtual memory space and simultaneously request stack expansion.
The alsa-lib package in Red Hat Linux 4 disables stack protection for the libasound.so library, which makes it easier for attackers to execute arbitrary code if there are other vulnerabilities in the library.

If a subpattern containing a named recursion or subroutine reference such as (?P>B) was quantified, for example (xxx(?P>B)){3}, the calculation of the space required for the compiled pattern went wrong and gave too small a value. Depending on the environment, this could lead to "Failed: internal error: code overflow at offset 49" or "glibc detected double free or corruption" errors.

It was reported to secalert that the autofs defaults do not set the nodev NFS option.
bug 410031 notes the missing nosuid option by default for the /net autofs filesystems, the fix for that issue did not take into account that there was also a missing nodev option for these filesystems.
Without the nodev option, it is possible for an attacker to mount a remote filesystem which could give them access to various devices that should normally have restricted access, such as /dev/mem, and various hardware devices.

open(OATOMICLOOKUP) leaks the dentry on the filesystems where drevalidate is implemented. i.e open ("/proc/self/exe", ORDONLY); open ("/proc/self/exe", ORDONLY | 02000000);
leaks one dentry.
By this way it's possible to eat all the memory on the node or overflow dentry->dcount.

The init.d script for the X.Org X11 xfs font server on various Linux distributions might allow local users to change the permissions of arbitrary files via a symlink attack on the /tmp/.font-unix temporary file.
lharc.c in lha does not securely create temporary files, which might allow local users to read or write files by creating a file before LHA is invoked.
XScreenSaver 4.10, when using a remote directory service for credentials, does not properly handle the results from the getpwuid function in drivers/lock.c when there is no network connectivity, which causes XScreenSaver to crash and unlock the screen and allows local users to bypass authentication.
The file watch implementation in the audit subsystem (auditctl -w) in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 4 kernel 2.6.9 allows local users to cause a denial of service (kernel panic) by replacing a watched file, which does not cause the watch on the old inode to be dropped.
