An instance of OpenSSL::X509::Name contains entities such as CN, C and so on. Some two instances of OpenSSL::X509::Name are equal only when all entities are exactly equal. However, there is a bug that the equality check is not correct if the value of an entity of the argument (right-hand side) starts with the value of the receiver (left-hand side). So, if a malicious X.509 certificate is passed to compare with an existing certificate, there is a possibility to be judged incorrectly that they are equal.

curl before version 7.61.1 is vulnerable to a buffer overrun in the NTLM authentication code. The internal function Curlntlmcoremknthash multiplies the length of the password by two (SUM) to figure out how large temporary storage area to allocate from the heap. The length value is then subsequently used to iterate over the password and generate output into the allocated storage buffer. On systems with a 32 bit sizet, the math to calculate SUM triggers an integer overflow when the password length exceeds 2GB (2^31 bytes). This integer overflow usually causes a very small buffer to actually get allocated instead of the intended very huge one, making the use of that buffer end up in a heap buffer overflow. (This bug is almost identical to CVE-2017-8816.)
A flaw was found in modperl 2.0 through 2.0.10 which allows attackers to execute arbitrary Perl code by placing it in a user-owned .htaccess file, because (contrary to the documentation) there is no configuration option that permits Perl code for the administrator's control of HTTP request processing without also permitting unprivileged users to run Perl code in the context of the user account that runs Apache HTTP Server processes.
