A flaw was found in modperl 2.0 through 2.0.10 which allows attackers to execute arbitrary Perl code by placing it in a user-owned .htaccess file, because (contrary to the documentation) there is no configuration option that permits Perl code for the administrator's control of HTTP request processing without also permitting unprivileged users to run Perl code in the context of the user account that runs Apache HTTP Server processes.

curl before version 7.61.1 is vulnerable to a buffer overrun in the NTLM authentication code. The internal function Curlntlmcoremknthash multiplies the length of the password by two (SUM) to figure out how large temporary storage area to allocate from the heap. The length value is then subsequently used to iterate over the password and generate output into the allocated storage buffer. On systems with a 32 bit sizet, the math to calculate SUM triggers an integer overflow when the password length exceeds 2GB (2^31 bytes). This integer overflow usually causes a very small buffer to actually get allocated instead of the intended very huge one, making the use of that buffer end up in a heap buffer overflow. (This bug is almost identical to CVE-2017-8816.)
In Apache Log4j 2.x before 2.8.2, when using the TCP socket server or UDP socket server to receive serialized log events from another application, a specially crafted binary payload can be sent that, when deserialized, can execute arbitrary code.
A flaw was discovered where the XMLRPC client implementation in Apache XMLRPC, performed deserialization of the server-side exception serialized in the faultCause attribute of XMLRPC error response messages. A malicious or compromised XMLRPC server could possibly use this flaw to execute arbitrary code with the privileges of an application using the Apache XMLRPC client library.
A vulnerability was found in Python 2.7.x through 2.7.16 and 3.x through 3.7.2. An improper Handling of Unicode Encoding (with an incorrect netloc) during NFKC normalization could lead to an Information Disclosure (credentials, cookies, etc. that are cached against a given hostname) in the urllib.parse.urlsplit, urllib.parse.urlparse components. A specially crafted URL could be incorrectly parsed to locate cookies or authentication data and send that information to a different host than when parsed correctly.

In Apache httpd 2.4.0 to 2.4.29, the expression specified in <FilesMatch> could match '$' to a newline character in a malicious filename, rather than matching only the end of the filename. This could be exploited in environments where uploads of some files are are externally blocked, but only by matching the trailing portion of the filename.
An issue was discovered in Ruby before 2.3.8, 2.4.x before 2.4.5, 2.5.x before 2.5.2, and 2.6.x before 2.6.0-preview3. It does not taint strings that result from unpacking tainted strings with some formats.
An address corruption flaw was discovered in the Linux kernel built with hardware breakpoint (CONFIGHAVEHWBREAKPOINT) support. In Apache httpd 2.0.23 to 2.0.65, 2.2.0 to 2.2.34, and 2.4.0 to 2.4.29, modauthnzldap, if configured with AuthLDAPCharsetConfig, uses the Accept-Language header value to lookup the right charset encoding when verifying the user's credentials. If the header value is not present in the charset conversion table, a fallback mechanism is used to truncate it to a two characters value to allow a quick retry (for example, 'en-US' is truncated to 'en'). A header value of less than two characters forces an out of bound write of one NUL byte to a memory location that is not part of the string. In the worst case, quite unlikely, the process would crash which could be used as a Denial of Service attack. In the more likely case, this memory is already reserved for future use and the issue has no effect at all.
If an attacker sends a large request which contains huge HTTP headers, WEBrick try to process it on memory, so the request causes the out-of-memory DoS attack.

Dir.mktmpdir method introduced by tmpdir library accepts the prefix and the suffix of the directory which is created as the first parameter. The prefix can contain relative directory specifiers "../", so this method can be used to target any directory. So, if a script accepts an external input as the prefix, and the targeted directory has inappropriate permissions or the ruby process has inappropriate privileges, the attacker can create a directory or a file at any directory.

In Ruby before 2.2.10, 2.3.x before 2.3.7, 2.4.x before 2.4.4, 2.5.x before 2.5.1, and 2.6.0-preview1, an attacker controlling the unpacking format (similar to format string vulnerabilities) can trigger a buffer under-read in the String#unpack method, resulting in a massive and controlled information disclosure.
A flaw was discovered in the HPACK decoder of haproxy before 1.8.14, that is used for HTTP/2. An out-of-bounds read access in hpackvalididx() resulted in a remote crash and denial of service. According to the report, there is no risk of escalation or code execution.
An out-of-bounds read issue was discovered in the HTTP/2 protocol decoder in HAProxy 1.8.x and 1.9.x through 1.9.0 which can result in a crash. The processing of the PRIORITY flag in a HEADERS frame requires 5 extra bytes, and while these bytes are skipped, the total frame length was not re-checked to make sure they were present in the frame.

A specially crafted request could have crashed the Apache HTTP Server prior to version 2.4.30, due to an out of bound access after a size limit is reached by reading the HTTP header. This vulnerability is considered very hard if not impossible to trigger in non-debug mode (both log and build level), so it is classified as low risk for common server usage.

In Apache HTTP Server 2.4.17 to 2.4.34, by sending continuous, large SETTINGS frames a client can occupy a connection, server thread and CPU time without any connection timeout coming to effect. This affects only HTTP/2 connections. A possible mitigation is to not enable the h2 protocol.
A flaw was discovered in FasterXML jackson-databind in versions prior to 2.9.9. The vulnerability would permit polymorphic deserialization of malicious objects using the logback-core gadget when used in conjunction with polymorphic type handling methods such as enableDefaultTyping() or when @JsonTypeInfo is using Id.CLASS or Id.MINIMALCLASS or in any other way which ObjectMapper.readValue might instantiate objects from unsafe sources. Depending on the classpath content, remote code execution may be possible.
A vulnerability has been found in the way developers have implemented the archive extraction of files. An arbitrary file write vulnerability, that can be achieved using a specially crafted zip archive (affects other archives as well, bzip2, tar,xz, war, cpio, 7z), that holds path traversal filenames. So when the filename gets concatenated to the target extraction directory, the final path ends up outside of the target folder. Of course if an executable or a configuration file is overwritten with a file containing malicious code, the problem can turn into an arbitrary code execution issue quite easily. This affects multiple libraries that lacks of a high level APIs that provide the archive extraction functionality.

Apache HTTP Server (httpd) through version 2.4.29 has a vulnerability in the handling of HTTP session headers in modsession. When modsession is configured to forward its session data to CGI applications (SessionEnv on, not the default), a remote user may influence their content by using a "Session" header.
