A flaw was found in multiple versions of Open vSwitch. Specially crafted LLDP packets can cause memory to be lost when allocating data to handle specific optional TLVs, potentially causing a denial of service. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability.
An out-of-bounds read vulnerability in function icmp6sendechoreply() in ip6icmp.c of libslirp could allow a guest user/process to leak contents of the host memory, leading to possible information disclosure.
A NULL pointer dereference flaw was found in the Linux kernel's SELinux subsystem in versions before 5.7. This flaw occurs while importing the Commercial IP Security Option (CIPSO) protocol's category bitmap into the SELinux extensible bitmap via the' ebitmapnetlblimport' routine. While processing the CIPSO restricted bitmap tag in the 'cipsov4parsetagrbm' routine, it sets the security attribute to indicate that the category bitmap is present, even if it has not been allocated. This issue leads to a NULL pointer dereference issue while importing the same category bitmap into SELinux. This flaw allows a remote network user to crash the system kernel, resulting in a denial of service.
A flaw was found in Ansible Engine when the module package or service is used and the parameter 'use' is not specified. If a previous task is executed with a malicious user, the module sent can be selected by the attacker using the ansible facts file. All versions in 2.7.x, 2.8.x and 2.9.x branches are believed to be vulnerable.
A flaw was found in Ansible Engine when a file is moved using atomicmove primitive as the file mode cannot be specified. This sets the destination files world-readable if the destination file does not exist and if the file exists, the file could be changed to have less restrictive permissions before the move. This could lead to the disclosure of sensitive data. All versions in 2.7.x, 2.8.x and 2.9.x branches are believed to be vulnerable.
A flaw was found in Ansible Engine when using Ansible Vault for editing encrypted files. When a user executes "ansible-vault edit", another user on the same computer can read the old and new secret, as it is created in a temporary file with mkstemp and the returned file descriptor is closed and the method writedata is called to write the existing secret in the file. This method will delete the file before recreating it insecurely.
A flaw was found in Ansible 2.7.16 and prior, 2.8.8 and prior, and 2.9.5 and prior when a password is set with the argument "password" of svn module, it is used on svn command line, disclosing to other users within the same node. An attacker could take advantage by reading the cmdline file from that particular PID on the procfs.
A flaw was found in the Ansible Engine when the fetch module is used. An attacker could intercept the module, inject a new path, and then choose a new destination path on the controller node. All versions in 2.7.x, 2.8.x and 2.9.x branches are believed to be vulnerable.
A race condition flaw was found in Ansible Engine 2.7.17 and prior, 2.8.9 and prior, 2.9.6 and prior when running a playbook with an unprivileged become user. When Ansible needs to run a module with become user, the temporary directory is created in /var/tmp. This directory is created with "umask 77 && mkdir -p <dir>"; this operation does not fail if the directory already exists and is owned by another user. An attacker could take advantage to gain control of the become user as the target directory can be retrieved by iterating '/proc/<pid>/cmdline'.
An out-of-bounds heap buffer access flaw was found in the way the iSCSI Block driver in QEMU handled a response coming from an iSCSI server while checking the status of a Logical Address Block (LBA) in an iscsicoblockstatus() routine. A remote user could use this flaw to crash the QEMU process, resulting in a denial of service or potential execution of arbitrary code with privileges of the QEMU process on the host.
A vulnerability was found in Nova Compute resource fault handling. If an API request from an authenticateduser ends in a fault condition due to an external exception, details of the underlying environment may be leaked in the response and could include sensitive configuration or other data.
A stack-buffer overflow vulnerability was found in the Redis hyperloglog data structure versions 3.x before 3.2.13, 4.x before 4.0.14 and 5.x before 5.0.4. By corrupting a hyperloglog using the SETRANGE command, an attacker could cause Redis to perform controlled increments of up to 12 bytes past the end of a stack-allocated buffer.
A heap-buffer overflow vulnerability was found in the Redis hyperloglog data structure versions 3.x before 3.2.13, 4.x before 4.0.14 and 5.x before 5.0.4. By carefully corrupting a hyperloglog using the SETRANGE command, an attacker could trick Redis interpretation of dense HLL encoding to write up to 3 bytes beyond the end of a heap-allocated buffer.
[ansiblepassword] in the ~/.ssh/authorizedkeys file is repalced by administrator's password on remote node by templating.

Withdrawn Advisory This advisory has been withdrawn because the vulnerability only affects the Qpid Proton C library and not org.apache.qpid:proton-j. This link has been maintained to preserve external references.
Original Description
While investigating bug PROTON-2014, we discovered that under some circumstances Apache Qpid Proton versions 0.9 to 0.27.0 (C library and its language bindings) can connect to a peer anonymously using TLS even when configured to verify the peer certificate while used with OpenSSL versions before 1.1.0. This means that an undetected man in the middle attack could be constructed if an attacker can arrange to intercept TLS traffic.
A flaw was found in openstack-neutron. When merging port ranges, the code never assumed the conjunction ID might not be present in the set due to already being removed. This can lead to server crash and denial of service.

An issue was discovered in the iptables firewall module in OpenStack Neutron before 10.0.8, 11.x before 11.0.7, 12.x before 12.0.6, and 13.x before 13.0.3. By setting a destination port in a security group rule along with a protocol that doesn't support that option (for example, VRRP), an authenticated user may block further application of security group rules for instances from any project/tenant on the compute hosts to which it's applied. (Only deployments using the iptables security group driver are affected.)
A flaw was found in Hibernate ORM in versions before 5.3.18, 5.4.18 and 5.5.0.Beta1. A SQL injection in the implementation of the JPA Criteria API can permit unsanitized literals when a literal is used in the SELECT or GROUP BY parts of the query. This flaw could allow an attacker to access unauthorized information or possibly conduct further attacks.
An XSS vulnerability was discovered in noVNC before 0.6.2 in which the remote VNC server could inject arbitrary HTML into the noVNC web page via the messages propagated to the status field, such as the VNC server name.
It was discovered that pyOpenSSL incorrectly handled memory when performing operations on a PKCS #12 store. A remote attacker could possibly use this issue to cause pyOpenSSL to consume resources, resulting in a denial of service.
This attack appear to be exploitable via Depends upon calling application, however it could be as simple as initiating a TLS connection that would cause the calling application to reload certificates from a PKCS #12 store. This vulnerability appears to have been fixed in 17.5.0.
It was discovered that pyOpenSSL incorrectly handled memory when handling X509 objects. A remote attacker could use this issue to cause pyOpenSSL to crash, resulting in a denial of service, or possibly execute arbitrary code. This attack appears to be exploitable via Depends on the calling application and if it retains a reference to the memory. This vulnerability appears to have been fixed in 17.5.0.
An issue was discovered in Open vSwitch (OvS) 2.7.x through 2.7.6. The decodebundle function inside lib/ofp-actions.c is affected by a buffer over-read issue during BUNDLE action decoding.
An issue was discovered in Open vSwitch (OvS) 2.7.x through 2.7.6, affecting ofprotoruleinsert in ofproto/ofproto.c. During bundle commit, flows that are added in a bundle are applied to ofproto in order. If a flow cannot be added (e.g., the flow action is a go-to for a group id that does not exist), OvS tries to revert back all previous flows that were successfully applied from the same bundle. This is possible since OvS maintains list of old flows that were replaced by flows from the bundle. While reinserting old flows, OvS has an assertion failure due to a check on rule state != RULEINITIALIZED. This would work for new flows, but for an old flow the rule state is RULEREMOVED. The assertion failure causes an OvS crash.
An issue was discovered in Open vSwitch (OvS) 2.7.x through 2.7.6, affecting parsegrouppropntrselectionmethod in lib/ofp-util.c. When decoding a group mod, it validates the group type and command after the whole group mod has been decoded. The OF1.5 decoder, however, tries to use the type and command earlier, when it might still be invalid. This causes an assertion failure (via OVSNOTREACHED). ovs-vswitchd does not enable support for OpenFlow 1.5 by default.
A flaw was found in PostgreSQL. The chief PostgreSQL client library, libpq, does not adequately reset its internal state before each connection attempt. When one requests a connection using a "host" or "hostaddr" connection parameter provided by an untrusted party, that party can thwart three security-relevant features of the client. First, they can cause PQconnectionUsedPassword() to erroneously return true. Users of contrib module "dblink" or "postgresfdw" can leverage that to use server-side login credentials that they should not be able to use. Second, attackers can cause the PQescape() family of functions to malfunction, permitting SQL injection in "postgresfdw" and likely in other applications. Third, attackers can cause sslmode=prefer to not attempt SSL/TLS at all
A flaw was found in python-cryptography versions between >=1.9.0 and <2.3. The finalizewithtag API did not enforce a minimum tag length. If a user did not validate the input length prior to passing it to finalizewithtag an attacker could craft an invalid payload with a shortened tag (e.g. 1 byte) such that they would have a 1 in 256 chance of passing the MAC check. GCM tag forgeries can cause key leakage.
A flaw was found in Jolokia versions from 1.2 to before 1.6.1. Affected versions are vulnerable to a system-wide CSRF. This holds true for properly configured instances with strict checking for origin and referrer headers. This could result in a Remote Code Execution attack.
A flaw was found in ansible. ansible.cfg is read from the current working directory which can be altered to make it point to a plugin or a module path under the control of an attacker, thus allowing the attacker to execute arbitrary code.
In ansible it was found that inventory variables are loaded from current working directory when running ad-hoc command which are under attacker's control, allowing to run arbitrary code as a result.
