An out-of-bounds buffer read flaw was found in the pluto daemon of libreswan from versions 3.27 till 3.31 where, an unauthenticated attacker could use this flaw to crash libreswan by sending specially-crafted IKEv1 Informational Exchange packets. The daemon respawns after the crash.
Mozilla Network Security Services (NSS), as used in Mozilla Firefox is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking when using certain cryptographic primitives. By sending an overly long argument, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause a denial of service.
A heap-based buffer overflow was found in the NSCEncryptUpdate() function in Mozilla nss. A remote attacker could trigger this flaw via SRTP encrypt or decrypt operations, to execute arbitrary code with the permissions of the user running the application (compiled with nss). While the attack complexity is high, the impact to confidentiality, integrity, and availability are high as well.
In Network Security Services before 3.44, a malformed Netscape Certificate Sequence can cause NSS to crash, resulting in a denial of service.
A NULL pointer dereference issue was found in several CMS function. A specially crafted data could possibly crash nss.

A cached side channel attack during handshakes using RSA encryption could allow for the decryption of encrypted content. This is a variant of the Adaptive Chosen Ciphertext attack (AKA Bleichenbacher attack) and affects all NSS versions prior to NSS 3.41.
