Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability in Apache Karaf Decanter.
The Decanter log socket collector exposes the port 4560, without authentication. If the collector exposes allowed classes property, this configuration can be bypassed. It means that the log socket collector is vulnerable to deserialization of untrusted data, eventually causing DoS.
NB: Decanter log socket collector is not installed by default. Users who have not installed Decanter log socket are not impacted by this issue.
This issue affects Apache Karaf Decanter before 2.12.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.12.0, which fixes the issue.
Secrets in Variables saved as JSON dictionaries were not properly redacted - in case the variables were retrieved by the user the secrets stored as nested fields were not masked.
If developers do not store variables with sensitive values in JSON form, their projects are not affected. Otherwise upgrade to the fixed version, Apache Airflow 3.2.0.
Observable Timing Discrepancy vulnerability when comparing AJP secret in Apache Tomcat.
This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.21, from 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.54, from 9.0.0.M1 through 9.0.117, from 8.5.0 through 8.5.100, from 7.0.0 through 7.0.109. Older unsupported versions may also be affected.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.22, 10.1.55 or 9.0.118 which fix the issue.
Improper Input Validation, Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor vulnerability in Apache Camel Mail Component.
The camel-mail producer (MailProducer.getSender) scanned the outgoing Exchange for message headers in the mail.smtp. / mail.smtps. namespace and, when any were present, built a per-message JavaMail sender with those values applied as JavaMail session properties, overriding the endpoint configuration. This namespace is Camel-internal - only MailProducer interprets it - and was not blocked by any HeaderFilterStrategy, so the values could originate from any inbound protocol (for example platform-http query parameters or request headers, or JMS / Kafka messages from untrusted producers) that feeds a route ending in an smtp / smtps producer without an intervening removeHeaders. The maximal impact is version-dependent: on releases before 4.19.0, setting mail.smtp.host redirects the SMTP connection to a server under the attacker's control, and because the producer then authenticates with the endpoint's configured username and password those credentials are transmitted to the attacker; on 4.19.0 and later the producer connects to the endpoint's configured host explicitly, so the reachable impact is limited to weakening transport security (for example mail.smtp.ssl.trust, mail.smtp.starttls.enable or mail.smtp.socks.host) and interception of the outgoing message rather than host redirect. Exploitation requires a route that channels untrusted input into the mail producer without stripping the namespace. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.0.0 before 4.14.8, from 4.15.0 before 4.18.3, from 4.19.0 before 4.21.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.21.0, which fixes the issue. If users are on the 4.14.x LTS releases stream, then they are suggested to upgrade to 4.14.8. If users are on the 4.18.x releases stream, then they are suggested to upgrade to 4.18.3. After upgrading, the per-message override is disabled by default; enable it only on trusted endpoints with useJavaMailSessionPropertiesFromHeaders=true. For deployments that cannot upgrade immediately, strip the namespace before the mail producer with removeHeaders('mail.smtp.') and removeHeaders('mail.smtps.') between any untrusted ingress and the smtp / smtps producer. Even with the opt-in enabled, route authors should still strip the namespace on any path that carries untrusted input.
Apache HTTP Server 2.4.16 release fixes the following issue:
) SECURITY: CVE-2015-3185 (cve.mitre.org) Replacement of apsomeauthrequired (unusable in Apache httpd 2.4) with new apsomeauthnrequired and apforceauthn hook. [Ben Reser]

Apache Log4j is vulnerable to a man-in-the-middle attack, caused by improper certificate validation with host mismatch in the SMTP appender. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to launch a man-in-the-middle attack and gain access to the communication channel between endpoints to obtain sensitive information or further compromise the system.
Apache Commons HttpClient 3.x, as used in Amazon Flexible Payments Service (FPS) merchant Java SDK and other products, does not verify that the server hostname matches a domain name in the subject's Common Name (CN) or subjectAltName field of the X.509 certificate, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof SSL servers via an arbitrary valid certificate.
suexec in Apache HTTP Server (httpd) 2.2.3 uses a partial comparison for verifying whether the current directory is within the document root, which might allow local users to perform unauthorized operations on incorrect directories, as demonstrated using "htmlbackup" and "htmleditor" under an "html" directory. NOTE: the researcher, who is reliable, claims that the vendor disputes the issue because "the attacks described rely on an insecure server configuration" in which the user "has write access to the document root."
Improper Neutralization of Special Elements Used in a Template Engine vulnerability in Apache OFBiz.
This issue affects Apache OFBiz: from 18.12.17 before 18.12.18.
It's a regression between 18.12.17 and 18.12.18. In case you use something like that, which is not recommended! For security, only official releases should be used.
In other words, if you use 18.12.17 you are still safe. The version 18.12.17 is not a affected. But something between 18.12.17 and 18.12.18 is.
In that case, users are recommended to upgrade to version 18.12.18, which fixes the issue.
Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in Apache Roller before 5.0.1 allow remote authenticated users to inject arbitrary web script or HTML by leveraging the blogger role.
A flaw was found in the way moddavsvn handled certain requests when SVNAutoversioning (in "/etc/httpd/conf.d/subversion.conf", for example) was enabled. If an attacker with commit access to a repository sent a request containing a crafted URL, it would cause the httpd process serving the request to crash.
This issue affected Subversion versions 1.7.11 to 1.7.13, and 1.8.1 to 1.8.4. It has been corrected in versions 1.7.14 and 1.8.5.
This issue does not affect the versions of Subversion in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 and 6.

Red Hat would like to thank the Apache Subversion project for reporting this issue. Upstream acknowledges Philip Martin as the original reporter.
Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in widget/screen/ModelScreenWidget.java in Apache Open For Business Project (aka OFBiz) 10.04.x before 10.04.05, 11.04.01, and possibly 09.04.x allow remote authenticated users to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the (1) Screenlet.title or (2) Image.alt Widget attribute, as demonstrated by the parentPortalPageId parameter to exampleext/control/ManagePortalPages.
Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in the (1) Manager and (2) Host Manager web applications in Apache Tomcat 4.0.0 through 4.0.6, 4.1.0 through 4.1.36, 5.0.0 through 5.0.30, 5.5.0 through 5.5.24, and 6.0.0 through 6.0.13 allow remote authenticated users to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via a parameter name to manager/html/upload, and other unspecified vectors.
Apache Hive before 0.13.1, when in SQL standards based authorization mode, does not properly check the file permissions for (1) import and (2) export statements, which allows remote authenticated users to obtain sensitive information via a crafted URI.
Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Apache Ambari before 2.1.0 allows remote authenticated cluster operator users to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the note field in a configuration change.
Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in createDestination.action in Apache ActiveMQ before 5.3.1 allows remote authenticated users to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the JMSDestination parameter in a queue action.
Multiple memory leaks in revhunt.c in Apache Subversion before 1.6.15 allow remote authenticated users to cause a denial of service (memory consumption and daemon crash) via the -g option to the blame command.
Absolute path traversal vulnerability in Apache Tomcat 4.0.0 through 4.0.6, 4.1.0, 5.0.0, 5.5.0 through 5.5.25, and 6.0.0 through 6.0.14, under certain configurations, allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files via a WebDAV write request that specifies an entity with a SYSTEM tag.
Absolute path traversal vulnerability in Apache Jakarta Slide 2.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files via a WebDAV write request that specifies an entity with a SYSTEM tag, a related issue to CVE-2007-5461.
Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in balancer-manager in modproxybalancer in the Apache HTTP Server 2.2.0 through 2.2.6 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the (1) ss, (2) wr, or (3) rr parameters, or (4) the URL.
htpasswd and htdigest in Apache 2.0a9, 1.3.14, and others allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files via a symlink attack.
The default configuration of javax.servlet.context.tempdir in Apache Commons FileUpload 1.0 through 1.2.2 uses the /tmp directory for uploaded files, which allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files via an unspecified symlink attack.
Svnserve in Apache Subversion 1.4.0 through 1.7.12 and 1.8.0 through 1.8.1 allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files or kill arbitrary processes via a symlink attack on the file specified by the --pid-file option.
The agent in Apache Ambari before 2.1.2 uses weak permissions for the (1) /var/lib/ambari-agent/data and (2) /var/lib/ambari-agent/keys directories, which allows local users to obtain sensitive information by reading files in the directories.
We have resolved a security issue in the camera plugin that could have affected certain Cordova (Android) applications. An attacker who could install (or lead the victim to install) a specially crafted (or malicious) Android application would be able to access pictures taken with the app externally.
Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor vulnerability in Apache Software Foundation Apache Camel. This issue affects Apache Camel from 3.X through <=3.14.8, from 3.18.X through <=3.18.7, from 3.20.X through <= 3.20.5, from 4.X through <= 4.0.0-M3.
Users should upgrade to 3.14.9, 3.18.8, 3.20.6 or 3.21.0 and for users on Camel 4.x update to 4.0.0-RC1
The initial fixes in CVE-2022-30126 and CVE-2022-30973 for regexes in the StandardsExtractingContentHandler were insufficient, and we found a separate, new regex DoS in a different regex in the StandardsExtractingContentHandler. These are now fixed in 1.28.4 and 2.4.1.
It was reported [1] that:
"The Apache Hadoop RPC protocol is intended to provide bidirectional authentication between clients and servers. However, a malicious server or network attacker can unilaterally disable these authentication checks. This allows for potential reduction in the configured quality of protection of the RPC traffic, and privilege escalation if authentication credentials are passed over RPC."
This flaw only affects users who have enabled Hadoop's kerberos security features. This is corrected in upstream versions 0.23.9, 1.2.1, and 2.0.6-alpha.

Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization ('Race Condition') vulnerability in Apache Answer.
This issue affects Apache Answer: through 1.2.0.
Under normal circumstances, a user can only bookmark a question once, and will only increase the number of questions bookmarked once. However, repeat submissions through the script can increase the number of collection of the question many times.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version [1.2.1], which fixes the issue.
Out-of-bounds Read vulnerability in Apache NimBLE HCI H4 driver. Specially crafted HCI event could lead to invalid memory read in H4 driver.
This issue affects Apache NimBLE: through 1.8.
This issue requires a broken or bogus Bluetooth controller and thus severity is considered low.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.9, which fixes the issue.
