The default configuration of Pandora FMS 3.1 and earlier specifies an empty string for the loginhashpwd field, which allows remote attackers to bypass authentication by sending a request to index.php with "admin" in the loginhashuser parameter, in conjunction with the md5 hash of "admin" in the loginhashdata parameter.

Services that are running and bound to the loopback interface on the Artica Proxy are accessible through the proxy service. In particular, the "tailon" service is running, running as the root user, is bound to the loopback interface, and is listening on TCP port 7050. Security issues associated with exposing this network service are documented at gvalkov's 'tailon' GitHub repo. Using the tailon service, the contents of any file on the Artica Proxy can be viewed.

DISPUTED Pandora FMS 7.x suffers from remote code execution vulnerability. With an authenticated user who can modify the alert system, it is possible to define and execute commands as root/Administrator. NOTE: The product vendor states that the vulnerability as it is described is not in fact an actual vulnerability. They state that to be able to create alert commands, you need to have admin rights. They also state that the extended ACL system can disable access to specific sections of the configuration, such as defining new alert commands.
