ClipBucket v5 through 5.5.3-#206 contains a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability in adminarea/index.php that allows attackers to inject HTML via the val parameter in mode=addtodo. Attackers can lure a logged-in administrator into submitting a cross-site POST form without CSRF protection, executing script in the admin panel origin.
ClipBucket v5 through 5.5.3-#206 contains a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability in adminarea/flaggeditem.php via the unencoded type GET parameter. Attackers can send crafted flaggeditem.php?type= links to logged-in administrators or moderators to execute injected script in the admin panel origin.
ClipBucket v5 through 5.5.3-#206 contains a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability in adminarea/languagesettings.php via the unencoded editlanguage GET parameter. Attackers can send administrators with basicsettings permission a crafted link whose payload is echoed into a hidden input, executing script in the admin panel origin.
ClipBucket v5 through 5.5.3-#197 contains an sql injection vulnerability that allows authenticated users with admanageraccess permission to inject SQL via the delete parameter in adminarea/adsmanager.php. Attackers can supply time-based blind payloads concatenated into AdsManager::DeleteAd queries to extract user credentials and emails or modify and delete arbitrary records.
ClipBucket v5 through 5.5.3-#197 contains a time-based blind SQL injection vulnerability in the language update function where the languageid parameter is concatenated unescaped into the WHERE clause of an UPDATE statement. An authenticated administrator with basicsettings permission can inject arbitrary SQL payloads to extract or modify database contents.
ClipBucket v5 through 5.5.3-#197 contains a time-based blind SQL injection vulnerability in the admin video edit function where the videoid parameter is concatenated into an UPDATE statement without proper escaping. An authenticated administrator with videomoderation permission can inject arbitrary SQL commands to extract or modify database contents.
ClipBucket v5 before 5.5.3-#197 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the admin template editor that allows authenticated administrators to overwrite PHP files by supplying directory traversal sequences in the folder parameter. Attackers with managetemplateaccess permission can traverse outside the layout directory to modify executable PHP files and achieve remote code execution as the web server user.
ClipBucket v5 before 5.5.3-#182 contains a blind SQL injection vulnerability in the photo search endpoint where the query parameter is passed unsanitized into SQL WHERE and ORDER BY clauses. Unauthenticated attackers can exploit time-based blind SQL injection techniques to extract user credentials, email addresses, and administrator password hashes for account takeover.
ClipBucket v5 before 5.5.3-#182 contains a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability in the sortlink() helper function that fails to sanitize cat, sort, and time query parameters. Attackers can craft malicious requests with injected script payloads in these parameters to execute arbitrary JavaScript in victims' browsers under the application origin.
ClipBucket v5 before 5.5.3-#182 contains a file upload vulnerability that allows authenticated users to achieve remote code execution by uploading a PHP file with valid image magic bytes through the photo upload endpoint. The FileUpload::manageFile() function in fileupload.class.php fails to update the file extension after MIME validation, allowing an attacker-controlled .php extension to persist on disk and execute as PHP via PHP-FPM when the uploaded file is retrieved.
ClipBucket v5 before 5.5.3-#182 contains a blind SQL injection vulnerability that allows authenticated users to extract arbitrary database contents by submitting the msgid parameter as an array to bypass the cleanrequests() sanitization function in ClipBucket.class.php. Attackers can pass unsanitized array elements through the deletion handler in privatemessage.php into cbpm::deletemsg(), which interpolates the unescaped message ID directly into a SQL query string, enabling time-based blind SQL injection to retrieve all user credential hashes and email addresses.
ClipBucket v5 before 5.5.3-#182 contains a blind SQL injection vulnerability that allows authenticated users to extract arbitrary data from the database by submitting the checkphoto parameter as an array to bypass the cleanrequests() sanitization function in ClipBucket.class.php. Attackers can pass unsanitized array elements through the bulk deletion handler in managephotos.php to photoexists() in photos.class.php, where non-numeric values are interpolated directly into a SQL query, enabling time-based blind SQL injection to retrieve credential hashes and other sensitive data.
ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to version 5.5.3 - #141, ClipBucket v5 contains an improper neutralization of SQL wildcard characters in the subtitle editing endpoint. An authenticated user can send a % character as the number parameter to overwrite all subtitle titles of any video they own in a single HTTP request. This issue has been patched in version 5.5.3 - #141.
ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to version 5.5.3 - #133, a normal authenticated user can edit another user's video subtitles because of a lack of authorization. They can upload subtitles, edit their name or delete them. This issue has been patched in version 5.5.3 - #133.
ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to version 5.5.3 - #129, the actions/progressvideo.php endpoint is vulnerable to blind SQL injection. Any unauthenticated user can exploit the ids parameter to execute SQL queries and exfiltrate sensitive data. This issue has been patched in version 5.5.3 - #129.
ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to version 5.5.3 - #140, ClipBucket's Remote Play feature allows any authenticated user to add a video by importing an external URL as the source. Some shell commands are run with the URL as a parameter. The URL is concatenated directly into shell commands without escaping then executed, so any shell metacharacter in the URL is interpreted. This results in arbitrary command execution. This issue has been patched in version 5.5.3 - #140.
ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to version 5.5.3 - #132, any authenticated user who can upload videos can add multiple subtitles from different files and change their title (English, Spanish...). The POST /actions/subtitleedit.php request used to change their title includes a number parameter which is vulnerable to SQL Injection. A boolean-based blind SQL injection can be used to exfiltrate sensitive data. This issue has been patched in version 5.5.3 - #132.
An issue in ClipBucket v5 v.5.5.2 allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code via the Authentication interface, login page endpoint and HTTP response security headers components
ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to 5.5.3 - #122, there is a critical SQL Injection (SQLi) vulnerability in ClipBucket, exploitable through the type parameter on the authenticated admin endpoint adminarea/actionlogs.php. The endpoint adminarea/actionlogs.php reads $GET['type'], stores it in $resultarray['type'], and forwards it into fetchactionlogs(), where the value is concatenated directly into a SQL WHERE condition on actiontype without parameterization. This allows UNION-based SQL injection and direct data exfiltration from the database. This vulnerability is fixed in 5.5.3 - #122.
ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. An authenticated time-based blind SQL injection vulnerability exists in ClipBucket prior to 5.5.3 #80 within the actions/ajax.php endpoint. Due to insufficient input sanitization of the userid parameter, an authenticated attacker can execute arbitrary SQL queries, leading to full database disclosure and potential administrative account takeover. Version 5.5.3 #80 fixes the issue.
ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to version 5.5.3 #59, collection item operations are vulnerable to authorization flaws, allowing a normal authenticated user to modify another user’s collection items. This affects both add item (/actions/addtocollection.php) due to missing authorization checks and delete item (/managecollections.php?mode=manageitems...) due to a broken ownership check in removeItemFromCollection(). As a result, attackers can insert and remove items from collections they do not own. Version 5.5.3 #59 fixes the issue.
ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to version 5.5.3 #59, a normal authenticated user can store the XSS payload. The payload is triggered by administrator. Version 5.5.3 #59 fixes the issue.
ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to 5.5.3 - #45, in Clip Bucket V5, The Remote Play allows creating video entries that reference external video URLs without uploading the video files to the server. However, by specifying an internal network host in the video URL, an SSRF can be triggered, causing GET requests to be sent to internal servers. An attacker can exploit this to scan the internal network. Even a regular (non-privileged) user can carry out the attack.
ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to 5.5.3 - #40, a Time-of-Check to Time-of-Use (TOCTOU) race condition vulnerability exists in ClipBucket's avatar and background image upload functionality. The application moves uploaded files to a web-accessible location before validating them, creating a window where an attacker can execute arbitrary PHP code before the file is deleted. The uploaded file was moved to a web-accessible path via moveuploadedfile(), then validated via ValidateImage(). If validation failed, the file was deleted via @unlink(). This vulnerability is fixed in 5.5.3 - #40.
ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Versions 5.5.2-#187 and below allow an attacker to perform Blind SQL Injection through the add comment section within a channel. When adding a comment within a channel, there is a POST request to the /actions/ajax.php endpoint. The objid parameter within the POST request to /actions/ajax.php is then used within the userexists function of the upload/includes/classes/user.class. php file as the $id parameter. It is then used within the count function of the upload/includes/classes/db.class. php file. The $id parameter is concatenated into the query without validation or sanitization, and a user-supplied input like 1' or 1=1-- - can be used to trigger the injection. This issue does not have a fix at the time of publication.
ClipBucket 5.5.2 is affected by an improper access control issue where the product is shipped or deployed with hardcoded default administrative credentials. An unauthenticated remote attacker can log in to the administrative panel using these default credentials, resulting in full administrative control of the application.
ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to version 5.5.2 - #164, an authorization bypass vulnerability in the AJAX flagging system allows any unauthenticated user to flag any content (users, videos, photos, collections) on the platform. This can lead to mass flagging attacks, content disruption, and moderation system abuse. This issue has been patched in version 5.5.2 - #164.
ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. In ClipBucket version 5.5.2, a change to network.class.php causes the application to dynamically build the server URL from the incoming HTTP Host header when the configuration baseurl is not set. Because Host is a client-controlled header, an attacker can supply an arbitrary Host value. This allows an attacker to cause password-reset links (sent by forget.php) to be generated with the attacker’s domain. If a victim follows that link and enters their activation code on the attacker-controlled domain, the attacker can capture the code and use it to reset the victim’s password and take over the account. This issue has been patched in version 5.5.2#162.
ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. In versions 5.5.2 - #156 and below, an authenticated regular user can create a photo collection whose Collection Name contains HTML/JavaScript payloads, which making ClipBucket’s Manage Photos feature vulnerable to Stored XSS. The payload is rendered unsafely in the Admin → Manage Photos interface, causing it to execute in the administrator’s browser, therefore allowing an attacker to target administrators and perform actions with elevated privileges. This issue is fixed in version 5.5.2 - #157.
ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. In versions 5.5.2-#146 and below, the Manage Playlists feature is vulnerable to stored Cross-site Scripting (XSS),specifically in the Playlist Name field. An authenticated low-privileged user can create a playlist with a malicious name containing HTML/JavaScript code, which is rendered unescaped on playlist detail and listing pages. This results in arbitrary JavaScript execution in every viewer’s browser, including administrators. This issue is fixed in version 5.5.2-#147.
