In versions below 5.1.3 of the CrowdStrike OAuth API app for Splunk SOAR, a user who holds a role with permission to run actions could expose a sensitive document password by invoking either the detonate file or detonate url action, because the action's documentpassword parameter is not masked and is shown in cleartext in the user interface. The information disclosure is possible because the app does not mark the affected action parameter as a password. Path Traversal

CrowdStrike has released security updates to address a critical unauthenticated path traversal vulnerability (CVE-2026-40050) in LogScale. This vulnerability only requires mitigation by customers that host specific versions of LogScale and does not affect Next-Gen SIEM customers. The vulnerability exists in a specific cluster API endpoint that, if exposed, allows a remote attacker to read arbitrary files from the server filesystem without authentication.

Next-Gen SIEM customers are not affected and do not need to take any action. CrowdStrike mitigated the vulnerability for LogScale SaaS customers by deploying network-layer blocks to all clusters on April 7, 2026. We have proactively reviewed all log data and there is no evidence of exploitation.

LogScale Self-hosted customers should upgrade to a patched version immediately to remediate the vulnerability.

Insufficiently Protected Credentials in the Crowdstrike connector can lead to Crowdstrike credentials being leaked. A malicious user can access cached credentials from a Crowdstrike connector in another space by creating and running a Crowdstrike connector in a space to which they have access.

A race condition exists in the Falcon sensor for Windows that could allow an attacker, with the prior ability to execute code on a host, to delete arbitrary files. CrowdStrike released a security fix for this issue in Falcon sensor for Windows versions 7.24 and above and all Long Term Visibility (LTV) sensors.

There is no indication of exploitation of these issues in the wild. Our threat hunting and intelligence team are actively monitoring for exploitation and we maintain visibility into any such attempts.

The Falcon sensor for Mac, the Falcon sensor for Linux and the Falcon sensor for Legacy Systems are not impacted by this.

CrowdStrike was made aware of this issue through our HackerOne bug bounty program. It was discovered by Cong Cheng and responsibly disclosed.

CrowdStrike uses industry-standard TLS (transport layer security) to secure communications from the Falcon sensor to the CrowdStrike cloud. CrowdStrike has identified a validation logic error in the Falcon sensor for Linux, Falcon Kubernetes Admission Controller, and Falcon Container Sensor where our TLS connection routine to the CrowdStrike cloud can incorrectly process server certificate validation. This could allow an attacker with the ability to control network traffic to potentially conduct a man-in-the-middle (MiTM) attack. CrowdStrike identified this issue internally and released a security fix in all Falcon sensor for Linux, Falcon Kubernetes Admission Controller, and Falcon Container Sensor versions 7.06 and above.

CrowdStrike identified this issue through our longstanding, rigorous security review process, which has been continually strengthened with deeper source code analysis and ongoing program enhancements as part of our commitment to security resilience. CrowdStrike has no indication of any exploitation of this issue in the wild. CrowdStrike has leveraged its world class threat hunting and intelligence capabilities to actively monitor for signs of abuse or usage of this flaw and will continue to do so.

Windows and Mac sensors are not affected by this.
