An information disclosure flaw was found in the way XMLHttpRequest object implementation in Qt, a software toolkit for developing applications, performed management of certain HTTP responses. Previous implementation allowed redirection from HTTP protocol to file schemas. Also the redirection handling was performed automatically by QML application and could not be disabled. A remote attacker could use this flaw to cause QML application in an unauthorized way to read local file content by causing the HTTP response for the application to be a redirect to a file: URL (file scheme).

QSslSocket in Qt before 4.7.0-rc1 recognizes a wildcard IP address in the subject's Common Name field of an X.509 certificate, which might allow man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof arbitrary SSL servers via a crafted certificate issued by a legitimate Certification Authority.
The QSslSocketBackendPrivate::transmit function in srcnetworksslqsslsocketopenssl.cpp in Qt 4.6.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop) via a malformed request.
An off by one memory corruption issue exists in WebSocketHandshake::readServerHandshake(). This issue is addressed by improved bounds checking.
