Unverified ownership in Barman snapshot backup deletion allows a principal who can write the backup catalog to cause Barman to delete unrelated cloud snapshots. When a snapshot backup is deleted, either explicitly or by retention policy enforcement, Barman reads the snapshot identifiers from the backup.info file and passes them to the cloud provider's delete API using Barman's own credentials, without verifying that the snapshots belong to that backup. An attacker who can overwrite backup.info but lacks snapshot delete permissions can substitute the identifiers of other snapshots, causing Barman to delete any snapshot its cloud identity can reach on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. Exploitation requires a deployment where the principal that writes the backup catalog is separate from the identity Barman uses to delete snapshots. Barman versions from 3.4.0 (Google Cloud), 3.6.0 (Azure), and 3.7.0 (AWS) up to and including 3.20.0 are affected. The issue is fixed in Barman 3.20.1.

A use-after-free condition exists in pglogical's worker signaling code, where a worker structure can be dereferenced after the underlying slot has been freed or recycled during normal worker lifecycle events. The condition is reachable during normal replication operation, including by a low-privileged user able to influence worker start, stop, and restart timing through permitted pglogical operations. In the typical case the condition crashes replication workers, causing an availability impact. In the worst case a use-after-free in a PostgreSQL backend can be leveraged as a remote code execution primitive at the privilege of that backend.

When applying replicated changes for a row that is missing one or more columns, pglogical evaluates the affected table's default expressions on the subscriber. Because the apply worker runs at a privilege level equivalent to a PostgreSQL superuser in default installations, any function invoked by such a default expression also runs at that privilege. A party acting as the publisher can use this path to cause functions to be executed on the subscriber as superuser, escalating from a role permitted to use pglogical to full superuser.

This is a second, independent path to the same superuser escalation tracked under CVE-2026-50736 (the pglogical queue issue). To exploit the issue an attacker must be able to direct a subscription at an endpoint they control. In default installations this requires privileges normally reserved for a superuser, so the issue is most relevant to managed deployments where the ability to create subscriptions has been delegated to non-superuser roles.

The pglogical queue mechanism, used to convey out-of-band commands such as replicated DDL from a publisher to a subscriber, executes message payloads on the subscriber at the privilege level of the apply worker, which is equivalent to a PostgreSQL superuser in default installations. A party acting as the publisher can send crafted queue messages that cause arbitrary SQL to be executed on the subscriber as superuser, escalating from a role permitted to use pglogical to full superuser and breaking the isolation between tenants in shared deployments. To exploit the issue an attacker must be able to direct a subscription at an endpoint they control. In default installations this requires privileges normally reserved for a superuser, so the issue is most relevant to managed deployments where the ability to create subscriptions has been delegated to non-superuser roles.

pglogical's apply worker does not sufficiently validate the length of certain fields in incoming replication protocol messages before copying them, resulting in an out-of-bounds read. A party acting as the publisher for a subscription, for example a non-PostgreSQL endpoint that speaks the pglogical replication protocol, can return crafted messages that cause the subscriber's apply worker to read beyond the bounds of an allocated buffer, disclosing adjacent process memory or crashing the worker. To exploit the issue an attacker must be able to direct a subscription at an endpoint they control. In default installations this requires privileges normally reserved for a superuser, so the issue is most relevant to managed deployments where the ability to create subscriptions has been delegated to non-superuser roles.

PEM versions prior to 9.8.1 are affected by a stored Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that allows users with access to the Manage Charts menu to inject arbitrary JavaScript when creating a new chart, which is then executed by any user accessing the chart. By default only the superuser and users with pemadmin or pemsuperadmin privileges are able to access the Manage Charts menu.

EDB Hybrid Manager contains a flaw that allows an unauthenticated attacker to directly access certain gRPC endpoints. This could allow an attacker to read potentially sensitive data or possibly cause a denial-of-service by writing malformed data to certain gRPC endpoints. This flaw has been remediated in EDB Hybrid Manager 1.3.3, and customers should consider upgrading to 1.3.3 as soon as possible. The flaw is due to a misconfiguration in the Istio Gateway, which manages authentication and authorization for the affected endpoints. The security policy relies on an explicit definition of required permissions in the Istio Gateway configuration, and the affected endpoints were not defined in the configuration. This allowed requests to bypass both authentication and authorization within a Hybrid Manager service. All versions of Hybrid Manager - LTS should be upgraded to 1.3.3, and all versions of Hybrid Manager - Innovation should be upgraded to 2025.12.

The Windows installer for EnterpriseDB-supplied PostgreSQL does not lock down the ACL of the binary installation directory or the ACL of the data directory; it keeps the inherited ACL. In the default configuration, this allows a local attacker to read arbitrary data directory files, essentially bypassing database-imposed read access limitations. In plausible non-default configurations, an attacker having both an unprivileged Windows account and an unprivileged PostgreSQL account can cause the PostgreSQL service account to execute arbitrary code.

The interactive installer used in EnterpriseDB-supplied PostgreSQL packages failed to secure its connection to the download server. Hence, an attacker able to impersonate the download server within a PostgreSQL installation's network scope can execute arbitrary code, as root, during initial installation or when the user directs the installed StackBuilder to acquire additional software. PostgreSQL binaries delivered other ways, such as installations from Yum or Apt packages, are unaffected.
