See how harness compares to other vendors in security performance
Harness through 3.3.0 omits access control validation in the infrastructure provider read endpoint, allowing authenticated users to retrieve provider configurations from spaces they do not belong to. Attackers can query the GET /api/v1/infraproviders endpoint with arbitrary space identifiers to expose sensitive provider metadata including Docker endpoints, TLS certificate paths, and cloud project identifiers.
A vulnerability was determined in Harness up to 2.28.2. This vulnerability affects the function getAuthorizedSpaces of the file app/api/controller/gitspace/listall.go of the component gitspaces Endpoint. Executing a manipulation can lead to authorization bypass. The attack can be executed remotely. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
A flaw has been found in Harness 3.3.0. This impacts the function LookupRepo of the file app/api/controller/gitspace/lookuprepo.go. Executing manipulation of the argument url can lead to server-side request forgery. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit has been published and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
A vulnerability has been found in Harness 3.3.0. Affected is an unknown function of the file /api/v1/login of the component Login Endpoint. The manipulation leads to improper restriction of excessive authentication attempts. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The attack is considered to have high complexity. The exploitability is told to be difficult. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
Impact Open Source Harness git LFS server (Gitness) exposes api to retrieve and upload files via git LFS. Implementation of upload git LFS file api is vulnerable to arbitrary file write. Due to improper sanitization for upload path, a malicious authenticated user who has access to Harness Gitness server api can use a crafted upload request to write arbitrary file to any location on file system, may even compromise the server.
Users using git LFS are vulnerable.
Patches Users have to upgrade to v3.3.0 . All previous versions are affected by this vulnerability.
