See how retool compares to other vendors in security performance
Retool before 3.88.0 contains a cross-site scripting vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to execute scripts by proxying malicious SVG files through /api/imageProxy. Attackers can supply an attacker-hosted SVG in the url parameter, which is served from the Retool origin without a Content Security Policy, executing JavaScript in victims' sessions. Exploitation evidence was first observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2024-10-15.
Retool (self-hosted) before 3.196.0 allows Host header injection. When the BASEDOMAIN environment variable is not set, the HTTP host header can be manipulated.
Retool (self-hosted enterprise) through 3.40.0 inserts resource authentication credentials into sent data. Credentials for users with "Use" permissions can be discovered (by an authenticated attacker) via the /api/resources endpoint. The earliest affected version is 3.18.1.
