FreePBX is an open-source web-based graphical user interface. FreePBX 15, 16, and 17 endpoints are vulnerable due to insufficiently sanitized user-supplied data allowing unauthenticated access to FreePBX Administrator leading to arbitrary database manipulation and remote code execution. This issue has been patched in endpoint versions 15.0.66, 16.0.89, and 17.0.3.

PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C language implementing standard based protocols such as SIP, SDP, RTP, STUN, TURN, and ICE. In versions up to and including 2.11.1 when in a dialog set (or forking) scenario, a hash key shared by multiple UAC dialogs can potentially be prematurely freed when one of the dialogs is destroyed . The issue may cause a dialog set to be registered in the hash table multiple times (with different hash keys) leading to undefined behavior such as dialog list collision which eventually leading to endless loop. A patch is available in commit db3235953baa56d2fb0e276ca510fefca751643f which will be included in the next release. There are no known workarounds for this issue.

CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H

PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C language implementing standard based protocols such as SIP, SDP, RTP, STUN, TURN, and ICE. In affected versions if the incoming STUN message contains an ERROR-CODE attribute, the header length is not checked before performing a subtraction operation, potentially resulting in an integer underflow scenario. This issue affects all users that use STUN. A malicious actor located within the victim’s network may forge and send a specially crafted UDP (STUN) message that could remotely execute arbitrary code on the victim’s machine. Users are advised to upgrade as soon as possible. There are no known workarounds.

The manipulation of the argument limit/offset leads to sql injection. Upgrading to version 14.0.5.21 is able to address this issue. The name of the patch is f1a9eea2dfff30fb99d825bac194a676a82b9ec8. FreePBX is an open source IP PBX. From 15.0.42 to before 16.0.45 and 17.0.7, unauthenticated users may be able to access the User Control Panel (UCP) using hard-coded initial template credentials if these were not immediately changed by the Administrator who enabled UCP. Authenticated access to ACP is required for the initial setup of UCP generic templates, but after that, without further steps by the admin, unauthenticated users may be able to gain access. This vulnerability is fixed in 16.0.45 and 17.0.7.

Asterisk is an open source private branch exchange and telephony toolkit. Prior to versions 20.7-cert9, 20.18.2, 21.12.1, 22.8.2, and 23.2.2, the asterisk/contrib/scripts/astcoredumper runs as root, as noted by the NOTES tag on line 689 of the astcoredumper file. The script will source the contents of /etc/asterisk/astdebugtools.conf, which resides in a folder that is writeable by the asterisk user:group. Due to the /etc/asterisk/astdebugtools.conf file following bash semantics and it being loaded; an attacker with write permissions may add or modify the file such that when the root astcoredumper is run; it would source and thereby execute arbitrary bash code found in the /etc/asterisk/astdebugtools.conf. This issue has been patched in versions 20.7-cert9, 20.18.2, 21.12.1, 22.8.2, and 23.2.2.
