SFTPGo is an open source, event-driven file transfer solution. Prior to 2.7.5, an authenticated SSH user can send a malformed protocol message while opening a channel, causing an unhandled error that terminates the server process and affects all connected users until restart. No confidentiality or integrity impact has been identified. This issue is fixed in 2.7.5.
SFTPGo prior to 2.7.4 contains a permission bypass vulnerability that allows authenticated users to circumvent per-directory access controls by creating symbolic links in a permitted directory that point to files in directories where download, upload, or overwrite permissions are denied. Attackers can exploit the createsymlinks permission combined with read and write access in one directory to read or modify files in restricted directories, as operations are authorized against the link's directory permissions rather than the dereferenced target's directory permissions.
SFTPGo is an open source, event-driven file transfer solution. From 2.5.0 until 2.7.6, an authenticated user with copy permission can copy a source file denied by deniedpatterns or outside allowedpatterns to an allowed destination name because file-pattern filters are evaluated only on the destination. The user can then read the denied file contents. Recursive directory copies can reproduce restricted contents under an allowed path, and the hide policy is bypassed because files that appear missing to stat and directory listings can still be copied. Home-directory boundaries, virtual-folder layout, per-directory permissions, access to other accounts, and administrative authorization remain enforced. This issue is fixed in 2.7.6.
