See how simple shopping cart compares to other vendors in security performance
The Simple Shopping Cart WordPress plugin before 5.2.6 does not escape some of its settings field values before outputting them on an admin settings page, allowing high-privilege users such as administrators to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks, which is notably impactful on multisite installations where administrators do not have the unfilteredhtml capability.
The Simple Shopping Cart plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's 'wpscdisplayproduct' shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 5.2.4 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
