Spring MVC and WebFlux applications are vulnerable to stream corruption when using Server-Sent Events (SSE) with view fragments. Spring Framework 7.0.0 - 7.0.8 Spring Framework 6.2.0 - 6.2.19
A Spring WebFlux application that relies on the Aalto XML processor to parse XML input does not correctly enforce the maxInMemorySize limit. Spring Framework 7.0.0 - 7.0.8 Spring Framework 6.2.0 - 6.2.19 Spring Framework 6.1.0 - 6.1.28 Spring Framework 6.0.0 - 6.0.30 Spring Framework 5.3.0 - 5.3.49 Spring Framework 5.2.25.RELEASE and earlier
SerializingHttpMessageConverter deserializes the body of incoming HTTP requests with a raw java.io.ObjectInputStream and no class filtering. Any request with Content-Type application/x-java-serialized-object whose body resolves to a Serializable type is read directly via readObject(). If an application using this converter on an inbound HTTP endpoint has any known Java deserialization "gadget" on its classpath, a remote, unauthenticated attacker can achieve arbitrary code execution. Spring Integration 7.1.0 Spring Integration 7.0.0 - 7.0.5 Spring Integration 6.5.0 - 6.5.10 Spring Integration 6.4.0 - 6.4.12 Spring Integration 5.5.21 and earlier

Spring Framework 7.0.0 - 7.0.8 Spring Framework 6.2.0 - 6.2.19 Spring Framework 6.1.0 - 6.1.28 Spring Framework 6.0.0 - 6.0.30 Spring Framework 5.3.0 - 5.3.49 Spring Framework 5.2.5.RELEASE - 5.2.25.RELEASE
Spring Security's embedded UnboundID LDAP server (UnboundIdContainer) unconditionally registers an administrative credential and binds its listener to all available network interfaces. Spring Security 7.1.0 Spring Security 7.0.0 - 7.0.6 Spring Security 6.5.0 - 6.5.11 Spring Security 6.4.0 - 6.4.18 Spring Security 5.8.0 - 5.8.27 Spring Security 5.7.0 - 5.7.25
In versions of Spring Security's OAuth2 Authorization Server module 7.0.0 through 7.0.4, when Dynamic Client Registration is explicitly enabled, the registration endpoint performs insufficient validation of certain client metadata fields supplied by the registering client. An attacker who possesses a valid Initial Access Token can register a malicious client with crafted metadata, which, depending on server configuration and how the metadata is later rendered or used, may result in Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), Privilege Escalation, or Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF).
Applications that evaluate Spring Expression Language (SpEL) expressions using SimpleEvaluationContext may be vulnerable to a safety guard bypass when the SpEL expression compiler is active. Spring Framework 7.0.0 - 7.0.8 Spring Framework 6.2.0 - 6.2.19 Spring Framework 6.1.0 - 6.1.28 Spring Framework 6.0.0 - 6.0.30 Spring Framework 5.3.0 - 5.3.49 Spring Framework 5.2.25.RELEASE and earlier
In an untrusted JMS environment, org.springframework.jms.support.converter.MappingJackson2MessageConverter and org.springframework.jms.support.converter.JacksonJsonMessageConverter allow arbitrary class instantiation, which can lead to unauthorized actions via gadget class deserialization.
Affected versions: Spring Framework 7.0.0 through 7.0.7; 6.2.0 through 6.2.18; 6.1.0 through 6.1.27; 5.3.0 through 5.3.48.
Spring MVC applications using the functional web framework are vulnerable to stream corruption when using Server-Sent Events (SSE). Spring Framework 7.0.0 - 7.0.8 Spring Framework 6.2.0 - 6.2.19 Spring Framework 6.1.0 - 6.1.28 Spring Framework 6.0.0 - 6.0.30 Spring Framework 5.3.0 - 5.3.49
Spring Data Commons contains a property binder vulnerability which can allow an attacker to perform remote code execution.
VMware vCenter contains an authentication bypass vulnerability in the VMware Directory Service. A malicious actor with network access to vCenter may exploit this issue to bypass authentication and gain unauthorized access to the system.
VMware Avi Load Balancer contains an authentication bypass vulnerability. A malicious user with network access may be able to access the Avi Control plane by bypassing the authentication mechanism.
Affected versions: 31.1.1 through 31.2.2 (fixed in 31.2.2-2p3) 30.1.1 through 30.2.6 (fixed in 30.2.7) 22.1.1 through 22.1.7 (fixed in 30.2.7)
Broadcom VMware vCenter contains a path traversal vulnerability which could allow a threat actor with network access to vCenter to execute arbitrary code.
The vSphere Client (HTML5) contains a remote code execution vulnerability due to lack of input validation in the Virtual SAN Health Check plug-in which is enabled by default in vCenter Server. A malicious actor with network access to port 443 may exploit this issue to execute commands with unrestricted privileges on the underlying operating system that hosts vCenter Server.
The vSphere Client (HTML5) contains a remote code execution vulnerability in a vCenter Server plugin. A malicious actor with network access to port 443 may exploit this issue to execute commands with unrestricted privileges on the underlying operating system that hosts vCenter Server. This affects VMware vCenter Server (7.x before 7.0 U1c, 6.7 before 6.7 U3l and 6.5 before 6.5 U3n) and VMware Cloud Foundation (4.x before 4.2 and 3.x before 3.10.1.2).
OpenSLP as used in VMware ESXi (7.0 before ESXi7.0.1-0.0.16850804, 6.7 before ESXi670-202010401-SG, 6.5 before ESXi650-202010401-SG) has a use-after-free issue. A malicious actor residing in the management network who has access to port 427 on an ESXi machine may be able to trigger a use-after-free in the OpenSLP service resulting in remote code execution.
Using "" as a pattern in Spring Security configuration for WebFlux creates a mismatch in pattern matching between Spring Security and Spring WebFlux, and the potential for a security bypass.
A flaw was found in the spring-security framework. Spring Security could allow a remote attacker to bypass security restrictions caused by an issue when using forward or include dispatcher types. By sending a specially-crafted request, an attacker can bypass authorization rules.
CVE-2018-1270, which permitted a malicious user to craft a STOMP message that could lead to remote code execution, was not fully addressed in the 4.3.x branch of the Spring Framework.
Pivotal Spring Framework could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by the exposure of STOMP over WebSocket endpoints with a STOMP broker through the spring-messaging module. By sending a specially-crafted message, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the system.
In Spring Boot versions 3.0.0 - 3.0.5, 2.7.0 - 2.7.10, 2.6.0 - 2.6.14, 2.5.0 - 2.5.14 and older unsupported versions, an application that is deployed to Cloud Foundry could be susceptible to a security bypass.

VMware ESX contains an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the VMXNET3 virtual network adapter. A malicious actor with local administrative privileges on a virtual machine with VMXNET3 virtual network adapter may exploit this issue to execute code on the host. Non VMXNET3 virtual adapters are not affected by this issue.
A flaw was found in the bash functionality that evaluates specially formatted environment variables passed to it from another environment. An attacker could use this feature to override or bypass restrictions to the environment to execute shell commands before restrictions have been applied. Certain services and applications allow remote unauthenticated attackers to provide environment variables, allowing them to exploit this issue.

When configured to use an SSL bundle, Spring Boot's RabbitMQ auto-configuration does not perform hostname verification when connecting to the RabbitMQ broker.
Affected: Spring Boot 4.0.0–4.0.5 (fix 4.0.6), 3.5.0–3.5.13 (fix 3.5.14) per vendor advisory.
Spring Boot's Cassandra auto-configuration does not perform hostname verification when establishing an SSL connection to Cassandra.
Affected: Spring Boot 4.0.0–4.0.5 (fix 4.0.6), 3.5.0–3.5.13 (fix 3.5.14), 3.4.0–3.4.15 (fix 3.4.16), 3.3.0–3.3.18 (fix 3.3.19), 2.7.0–2.7.32 (fix 2.7.33); Cassandra SSL auto-configuration. Versions that are no longer supported are also affected per vendor advisory.
In certain circumstances, Spring Boot's default web security is ineffective allowing unauthorized access to all endpoints. For an application to be vulnerable, it must: be a servlet-based web application; have no Spring Security configuration of its own and rely on the default web security filter chain; depend on spring-boot-actuator-autoconfigure; not depend on spring-boot-health. If any of the above does not apply, the application is not vulnerable.
Affected: Spring Boot 4.0.0–4.0.5; upgrade to 4.0.6 or later per vendor advisory.
Spring for GraphQL applications are vulnerable to Unsafe Deserialization when processing paginated GraphQL queries. An attacker can craft a malicious GraphQL request that can lead to Remote Code Execution when the application exposes a paginated (Connection) field and the classpath contains specific classes that can be leveraged during deserialization.
Affected versions: Spring for GraphQL 2.0.0 through 2.0.3; 1.4.0 through 1.4.5; 1.3.0 through 1.3.8.
