See how wordpress compares to other vendors in security performance
WordPress 6.8.x before 6.8.6, 6.9.x before 6.9.5, and 7.0.x before 7.0.2 does not properly sanitise the authornotin parameter of WPQuery, which could allow SQL Injection when a plugin or theme passes untrusted input to the parameter.
WordPress 6.9.x before 6.9.5 and 7.0.x before 7.0.2 is affected by a REST API batch endpoint route confusion issue which, combined with the authornotin WPQuery SQL Injection (CVE-2026-60137), could allow an attacker to perform SQL Injection and achieve Remote Code Execution.
The Birth Chart Compatibility plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Full Path Disclosure in all versions up to, and including, 2.0. This is due to insufficient protection against directly accessing the plugin's index.php file, which causes an error exposing the full path. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to retrieve the full path of the web application, which can be used to aid other attacks. The information displayed is not useful on its own, and requires another vulnerability to be present for damage to an affected website.
The File Manager (wp-file-manager) plugin before 6.9 for WordPress allows remote attackers to upload and execute arbitrary PHP code because it renames an unsafe example elFinder connector file to have the .php extension. This, for example, allows attackers to run the elFinder upload (or mkfile and put) command to write PHP code into the wp-content/plugins/wp-file-manager/lib/files/ directory. This was exploited in the wild in August and September 2020.
WordPress Snap Creek Duplicator plugin contains a file download vulnerability when an administrator creates a new copy of their site that allows an attacker to download the generated files from their Wordpress dashboard. This vulnerability affects Duplicator and Dulplicator Pro.
The social-warfare plugin before 3.5.3 for WordPress has stored XSS via the wp-admin/admin-post.php?swpdebug=loadoptions swpurl parameter, as exploited in the wild in March 2019. This affects Social Warfare and Social Warfare Pro.
Impact The mailSend function in the default isMail transport in PHPMailer before 5.2.18 might allow remote attackers to pass extra parameters to the mail command and consequently execute arbitrary code via a \" (backslash double quote) in a crafted Sender property.
Patches Fixed in 5.2.18
Workarounds Filter and validate user input before passing it to internal functions.

An authentication bypass vulnerability exists in the WordPress Pie Register plugin ≤ 3.7.1.4 that allows unauthenticated attackers to impersonate arbitrary users by submitting a crafted POST request to the login endpoint. By setting socialsite=true and manipulating the useridsocialsite parameter, an attacker can generate a valid WordPress session cookie for any user ID, including administrators. Once authenticated, the attacker may exploit plugin upload functionality to install a malicious plugin containing arbitrary PHP code, resulting in remote code execution on the underlying server.
Improper Control of Generation of Code ('Code Injection') vulnerability in Codeer Limited Bricks Builder allows Code Injection. This issue affects Bricks Builder: from n/a through 1.9.6.
WordPress Core is vulnerable to Directory Traversal in versions up to, and including, 6.2, via the ‘wplang’ parameter. This allows unauthenticated attackers to access and load arbitrary translation files. In cases where an attacker is able to upload a crafted translation file onto the site, such as via an upload form, this could be also used to perform a Cross-Site Scripting attack.
The Admin and Customer Messages After Order for WooCommerce: OrderConvo WordPress plugin before 14 does not validate the path of files to be downloaded, which could allow unauthenticated attacker to read/download arbitrary files via a path traversal attack
The User Registration & Membership WordPress plugin before 4.1.3 does not properly validate data in an AJAX action when the Membership Addon is enabled, allowing attackers to authenticate as any user, including administrators, by simply using the target account's user ID.
The DIGITS: WordPress Mobile Number Signup and Login WordPress plugin before 8.4.6.1 does not rate limit OTP validation attempts, making it straightforward for attackers to bruteforce them.
The wp-publications WordPress plugin through 1.2 does not escape filenames before outputting them back in the page, which could allow high privilege users such as admin to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks even when the unfilteredhtml capability is disallowed (for example in multisite setup).
