The Post Snippets – Custom WordPress Code Snippets Customizer plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Shortcode Attributes in all versions up to, and including, 4.2.4 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Entity-encoded payloads such as <script>...</script> survive WordPress's wpksespost on-save sanitization because kses does not decode HTML entities, and are only converted back into executable HTML tags at render time by the plugin's own shortcode filter. This requires snippet shortcodes to be enabled.

The Insert PHP Code Snippet plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 1.3.6. This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation in the /admin/snippets.php file. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to activate/deactivate and delete code snippets via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link. CVE-2024-43275 appears to be a duplicate of this issue.

The Newsletter Manager plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to insecure deserialization in versions up to, and including, 1.5.1. This is due to unsanitized input from the 'customFieldsDetails' parameter being passed through a deserialization function. This potentially makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject a serialized PHP object.
