CVE-2022-1898 is a vulnerability in the GitHub repository vim/vim that allows for Use After Free.
The macOS Ventura version up to 13 and the Ubuntu vim package versions up to 8.2.5024, 2:8.0.1453-1ubuntu1.12, 2:8.1.2269-1ubuntu5.13, and 2:8.2.3995-1ubuntu2.5 are affected by CVE-2022-1898.
To fix CVE-2022-1898 on macOS Ventura, update to version 13 of Apple macOS Ventura.
To fix CVE-2022-1898 on Ubuntu, update the vim package to version 8.2.5024, 2:8.0.1453-1ubuntu1.12, 2:8.1.2269-1ubuntu5.13, or 2:8.2.3995-1ubuntu2.5.
